Watch out, there's a male staff member who serves customers with an incredibly condescending attitude. My first visit was around 20:45 on Wed 6/10, and I didn't really understand the system, so I used a large-portion tag and after paying tried to hand it over together with the bento, and that staff member said “Please leave it there,” so I put it on the reception(?) counter, and he said “Ah, ah, no no lol” in casual speech with a sneer, and then he was fumbling around trying to hang it back on its original hook, so I offered, “Oh, sorry. I'll hang it,” and he handed it to me without a word and went straight to the back of the kitchen. Well, I do think I was partly at fault for not understanding, but it still didn't feel good. Maybe he had it out for me after that, because when I came around 18:30–40 on Wed 6/17, I ordered something to be cooked, and at handover he dropped it from a dozen-plus centimeters above the reception counter, handed it over silently, and immediately went to the back of the kitchen. I couldn't help doing a double take…. That day, to an elderly woman who had ordered before me, he got her order wrong and then apologized with a light tone like she was his friend??? “Ahh sorryyy lol I'll remake it lol.” The woman seemed so fed up she was at a loss for words. Even part-timer quality has its limits…. I'd like to believe he's not a regular employee…. On both days, of the 2(?) male staff, it was — sorry for the harsh words — the flashy, frivolous one. The other male staff member seemed quiet and diligent, and the female staff member who served me on another day gave really pleasant service, so it's really disappointing that this review turned out this way. (It was so unpleasant that honestly I feel like giving 1 star, but in recognition of the other staff's service, I'll make it 2 stars.) By the way, the all-important taste is pretty good. If there's anything else to improve, maybe the register system itself…. It's confusing that they ask you again at the end whether you need a bag even though you bought one at the start, and when you try to order at the register the bento photos are small and hard to make out.
View on GoogleThe register changed again; before, you scanned using product cards, but now everything can be scanned on the screen, and sorry to say, it's a hassle.
View on GoogleI ordered, and it took 50 minutes until it was ready. When I pointed that out, the staff member said just one “we're very sorry” and then lined up a string of excuses. They said “We told you it would take time”; when I said I was only told after I'd finished paying, they said it was because only two people were running things, or because there are online orders too. I don't need excuses. They were mixing up the order, like doing people who ordered fewer bento than me first, or putting people who ordered earlier on hold to get the easy ones done first, so it didn't feel good. It seemed like they were running things with trainees, but they should put a veteran in too. A 50-minute wait is terrible.
View on GoogleI like Origin because it has a homemade feel, but everything's been automated and it's turned into a store with no warmth. Shouldn't at least the checkout be done by a person? Ignored when you come in, ignored when you leave — I get cutting labor costs, but it's humans who go there to buy, so they should leave at least one bit of human warmth. It's a shame, since the food is delicious.
View on GoogleDue to an error I rang the bell again and again, but even though there were two people cooking, they ignored me. They glanced over and kept ignoring me until a female staff member noticed and hurried out. If I have to wait, I think they could at least say so. I used to come here often, but the bento keep getting smaller, which is really disappointing.
