Excellent value, atmosphere, and service.
View on GoogleA favorite place I've been to many times! The okonomiyaki and monjayaki of course, but every à la carte dish I've tried is superb too—there are no misses. The prices are very reasonable for this quality, so I keep coming back again and again. A place I want to keep going to!
View on GoogleAt first I wondered where the shop even was. I spotted a lunch sign along a narrow road in the shopping street, and on closer inspection it seemed to be a monjayaki place. Apparently they have plenty of lunch options too, so I took the plunge and went in. Maybe they converted their home? You take off your shoes at what looks like a regular family entryway, open a sliding door, and sit at a low table. Various menu items with photos are displayed on the walls. Monjayaki is the main thing, and they seem to have lots of drinking snacks too. For daytime drinking, beer is 380 yen and chuhai-type drinks are 280 yen—a classy touch for drinkers. You can get refills of rice and miso soup. The dashi really comes through, and the miso soup was delicious😂 Next time I'd like to drop by in the evening😂 Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleBetween the genkan (I deliberately say genkan, not entrance) and the atmosphere inside, it feels like you're eating at a friend's house, so you can eat super casually. The food, of course, is not friend's-house level—it's properly done. Not just the okonomiyaki, but all kinds of dishes are delicious, and the quality of the meat is high too. The owner, who looks like he'd suit a white T-shirt and jeans, has a great vibe too, and it was a place that made me want to come back.
View on GoogleThe young, handsome manager is motivated and a pleasure to deal with. The okonomiyaki of course, but all the side dishes are delicious too—a place you'll want to go even on hot days. I recommend the vinegared offal and smashed cucumber. There used to be only floor seating, so my legs would get sore, but they've actually added table seating out front⤴️ It seems older people and those with sore legs can now go without worry too. Definitely give it a try📣
