Very inexpensive and delicious. We tried the duck and shrimp noodles.

I had the kakiage seiro soba for ¥900. It came with two pieces of kakiage, mainly onion, mixed with mitsuba and 3 plump, springy shrimp.

Visited a little after 7 p.m. It's a cozy little shop with the feel of a long-standing neighborhood soba restaurant, which is nice. The sound of alarms and delivery people kept coming nonstop. It seems popular. Looking at the menu, there was curry seiro, so I was going to have that, but it was cold that day so I went with curry nanban. The soba is thin, with onion and pork as toppings. The sauce was nicely thick, and the flavor was right at the heart of curry nanban, delicious. The sauce clings well to the soba, and the broth and soba go down in equal amounts, a wonderful curry soba. There are also set meals and seasonal items, the menu is extensive. From now on, whenever I come to Kita-Senju, I'll try them one at a time.

October 2025 marks its 100th anniversary, wow! It didn't look like it at all. Congratulations㊗️ A weekday, just before 13:00. There was only one seat open. Pork belly seiro, ¥900. Feels like a good deal. Delicious.

An old-fashioned neighborhood soba shop. Run by an elderly couple. The katsudon and soba set is 1,100 yen, which feels like a good deal these days. The thickness of the cutlet and the crispiness of the batter show seasoned skill. The soba broth is also solid, and you can taste the handmade umami. After eating, a walk along the Arakawa riverbank to help digestion would be nice too.
