Good quality of fried chicken and rice for just 500円.
View on GoogleI visited on a weekday evening. I remembered there being a huge line when it first opened, so I thought it'd be crowded, but there were no other customers. (Maybe everyone reserves online?) I wanted to try it with my family, so I asked for the 10-piece "Family Pack." I assumed they'd pack it with freshly fried ones, but... They packed it with ones already fried and sitting there in large quantities... Also, the "red" is just the regular kind (probably the white) with a spicy-looking sauce poured on. On top of that, the takeout container had no proper dividers, just separated with paper, so by the time I got home the sauce had soaked through from the bottom and almost everything was mixed with the "red" flavor... The karaage itself is the very crunchy type and pretty hard. The taste is average, I guess. I think some people would like it, including the texture. But while the staff were happily chatting among themselves, the service felt pretty careless, and it was somehow a disappointing experience...
View on GoogleI tried the Thank You Don (399 yen before tax), but the sauce was so sweet it made me feel sick. The miso soup wasn't dissolved at all, had lumps, and was salty. Even if it's only 399 yen, this is unacceptable. Even the all-important karaage is ruined because the sauce is bad. At this shop, just buy the karaage. Don't get it as a rice bowl.
View on GoogleMaybe because I went with pretty high expectations… Personally I didn't like it much. It's not for people who like their karaage plump and tender. If anything, it might be good for people who like hearty, rugged karaage. That said, though there was a lot of batter and skin, it didn't feel too heavy. But they're quite big, so if you're eating in one go, 3 pieces feels like the limit. Look for the Terry-san at the entrance as a landmark. It takes time, so it might be more convenient to order ahead before buying.
View on GoogleSorry the photo looks like this. When you look at the shop from outside, there's something subtly intriguing that makes you want to buy a karaage bento. (The menu lineup and interior are pretty) Whenever I pass by, I want to eat it again
