A retro-feeling sushi izakaya full of warmth. Everything you eat is delicious. Being in Adachi, it's relatively cheap. It's authentic and has a live fish tank. This is the place for a night when you want to splurge. Above all, a friendly owner full of warmth serving authentic seafood. His wife is easygoing and funny.
View on GoogleA wonderful sushi restaurant in a place like this The nearest station is Takenotsuka? Apparently it takes about 20 minutes on foot; today I came by car from Setagaya I was treated at an acquaintance's birthday party, so it's probably quite expensive. The sashimi was incredibly fresh‼️ The Kamo eggplant with thick sauce and the eel were the best, and, rare for this time of year, there were even matsutake mushrooms. Everything was wonderful There's a parking lot too, so no worries
View on GoogleMy spouse and I went together. The owner-chef is a talkative person, and his stories were entertaining in various ways. However, there were lots of tall tales, like celebrities coming all the way from Kyoto to this place, or so-and-so having come. I thought the food was good quality, but the prices were also extremely high. There was no price list, and we ate whatever was recommended, "this is good, that is good." By my estimate it was about 10,000 yen, but we were charged 30,000 yen. I felt we'd been ripped off because we were first-time customers. We had told them we'd recently moved here, so we could have become regulars, but I'll never go again.
View on GoogleI mistook it for a shop with the same name nearby and ordered delivery. Jō-sushi for 3300 yen, a bold price for around here, but the rice was mushy and lukewarm. The sea urchin and salmon roe were sized like two pieces combined into one. What arrived had plenty of other things to nitpick too. I really regretted ordering right at the start of New Year. It's hard for me too to write a review that sounds like bad-mouthing, but honestly, I just couldn't stand not writing it!.. This is my first time posting my thoughts about a shop. Sorry about that.
View on GoogleI had takeout sushi. It was my first time at this shop, but they served me very courteously. The toppings were of course delicious, and this is just my personal impression, but the nigiri is formed very softly, and I think the slightly sweet rice is a big factor in how easy it is to eat. With every piece, the topping and rice can be swallowed at almost the same moment, and picking up a slice of gari resets your palate, so I finished a whole serving in no time. Again a personal preference, but the nori on the rolls is fragrant and quite soft for sushi-shop nori — delicious yet not interfering with the toppings at all, which I think is fairly rare. Next time I'd definitely like to eat at the counter.
