いちはつIchihatsu
The only restaurant in Japan specializing in sardine dishes and Okinawan home cooking. For our Okinawan ingredients, we use vegetables grown by Ojii and Obaa on Miyakojima, shipped directly. As for sardines, the origin differs every day, but we stock exceptionally fresh maiwashi and satisfy our customers with 一初's own original cooking methods. Our Miyakojima dishes are also served using cooking methods taught directly by Obaa. Note: Because 一初 is family-run, we are registered as a smoking-permitted establishment. Please understand that people under 20 cannot enter.

This is one of my favorite Okinawan restaurants. It's run by an elderly couple. They always put so much effort into preparing the dishes, which is really delightful to see. The bar can only hold so many people, but if you get there late, you'll usually have no seats left.
View on GoogleA lovely, cozy little place with counter seating only. The Okinawan dishes and the sardine dishes are all superb. The shima rakkyo served as otoshi was very delicious. Be sure to try the sardine sashimi and tataki too.
View on Google「いわし料理 いちはつ」, my favorite spot I always stop by for daytime drinking🐟 Today I came back from Wakayama nonstop through the night, so I'm having a nightcap. The food here is truly the best. Recommended🍶✨ #いちはつ #いわし料理 #昼飲み #和歌山帰り #寝酒 #東京グルメ #居酒屋好きな人と繋がりたい
View on GoogleThe restaurant's name caught my interest, and it had been on my want-to-go list for a while. Both the sardines and the Okinawan Miyakojima dishes are delicious. I'm also happy they have a small Miyako soba. There were lots of other dishes I was curious about, so next time I'd like to go with a friend.
View on GoogleMay 2025 The words "sardine dishes" caught my eye, and since my companion loves sardines, we went there as our second stop. A homey place with only 6 counter seats inside, run by a married couple. At lunchtime they also seem to have good-value set meals. ・Sara nanban ・Sardine tataki ・Mozuku tempura ・Miyako soba (small) ・Mozuku otoshi is what we ordered. For drinks we had awamori, served for mizuwari with the awamori in a vessel called a karakara. The Okinawan glass cups are nice too. The sara nanban is popular and the sauce takes time to make, so it's limited to 2 servings a day. We were lucky enough to order it this time; with its sweet sauce and tenderly simmered sardines, it was delicious. There were lots of celebrity autographs too, and the atmosphere was lovely. Cashless payment accepted.
