A little place worth the visit, good food!

Tanmen: 600 yen The noodles were cooked on the soft side and slurped nicely. Personally, I prefer them firm. Toppings consist of pork, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrot, and wood ear mushroom. The pork has no off smell; there aren't many kinds of vegetables, but there's a lot of them. The soup is salt-based. Is dried shrimp powder the secret ingredient??? It was pretty good. Gyoza: 300 yen I tried them with the vinegar and white pepper (powder) on the table. Beautifully browned to a golden color. The skin is chewy and delicious!! The filling is an orthodox recipe but tasty. White pepper lacks punch, so I'd like coarse black pepper. The proprietress's service was very courteous and it was comfortable. The owner's skills, backed by long years of experience, seemed solid. I'll come again. Thanks for the meal!!

Both the set meals and the ramen are super delicious—comforting, mom-style cooking. Reasonably priced, big portions, and very courteous service. A neighborhood Chinese restaurant I want to keep coming back to.

Today's lunch B set was ramen and a half mapo bowl for 700 yen. No alcohol—a meals-only shop. The inside is cramped, but maybe because not that many customers come, it's just the right size. Perhaps it's run by a married couple; the lady served us pleasantly. Soy sauce-based, with straight noodles that seemed a bit overcooked, which felt nostalgic. At this price, no complaints. I prefer this over the ramen nearby that costs over a thousand yen. In the evening they also sell gyoza and spring rolls for 200 yen as takeout; the gyoza are a great deal and delicious.
