It's a Chinese restaurant. I assumed it was a chain, but apparently not. Went in alone around 18:00 on my way home from work. They let me sit alone at a 4-person table, which made me feel a bit sheepish. It's a cozy little place with mostly table seating. I went in for ramen, but ended up ordering fried rice, gyoza, and draft beer. The draft beer is Kirin. Soon the fried rice and gyoza arrived. The fried rice was a fairly generous portion with a solid flavor. Not too dry and fluffy — just how I like it. Working my way through the mound of fried rice bit by bit and sipping the soup now and then is the best. The gyoza were meaty and perfectly browned. Washed down with draft beer. All this for 1,650 yen! Cheap! Considering the taste, portions, and price, it's 5 stars. The staff seem kind too — a good place.
View on GoogleIt's a typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but it's always clean inside and easy to walk into. Easy for a woman on her own to go in, and you can eat in peace. The staff are cheerful too. The soy-sauce-based chuka soba and chashumen are especially outstanding, with a fishy (katsuobushi) aroma — a very comforting flavor. The tanmen and moyashi soba are also gentle on the palate and delicious. By the way, if you order the chuka soba and half fried rice set, the fried rice that comes out is so much you'd wonder if it's "full" rather than "half." It's tasty so I'm happy, but light eaters should be careful.
View on GoogleVisited on a Saturday around 20:30. I'd been curious about it for a while, but it was always full and hard to get into... this day I was lucky enough to get in for the first time. On my way home from drinking I ordered the half fried rice (400 yen). A volume you wouldn't believe is "half" — a piping-hot plate with nicely separated grains. Simple yet satisfying, just right as a finisher. Reasonably priced too. I'm curious about the other menu items, so next time I want to come back for a proper meal.
View on GoogleIt was delicious! It felt like eating at an old-fashioned ramen shop — somehow nostalgic and heartwarming. The simple yet deep-flavored soup and the chewy noodles came together perfectly, and I felt happy with every bite. Inside there are old posters and a wooden counter, with a Showa-era atmosphere that made me feel as if I'd slipped back in time. Time spent in a retro ramen shop like this is a special moment that lets you forget the busyness of daily life. It was delicious! View on GoogleThe flavor is a bit on the strong side, but it's a place with orthodox chuka soba. Reasonably priced, lots of people come alone, and depending on the time you might have to wait. Even the half fried rice was a pretty normal portion. The ramen + half fried rice set is 950 yen
