A facility bearing the name of Belmont, a town in Australia that is Adachi Ward's sister city. Materials related to exchanges between the two cities are on display. The decorations on the Aboriginal tools are beautiful.
View on GoogleA park built to commemorate the sister city partnership with the City of Belmont in Australia. The connection comes from what they share: both are commuter towns for the big cities of Tokyo and Perth. With Australian plants like eucalyptus, a red-brick exhibition hall, and a sheep statue, you can feel a foreign atmosphere.
View on GoogleIt's an exhibition hall inside Belmont Park. Items donated by the City of Belmont in Australia are on display. It's only open on weekends and public holidays, so be careful if you want to visit. Inside isn't all that spacious, but there were old clocks, a butter-making machine, everyday items like cups and plates, as well as boomerangs and weapons used by the indigenous people. There seemed to be a 2nd floor as well, but when I went I couldn't go up because of event preparations or something. It's not something you'd go see again and again, but these are gifts from our sister city, so as a ward resident I think it's worth seeing at least once.
