甘味処なごみ庵Amami Tokoro Nagomi Iori
A shop of handmade sweets that make the most of carefully selected ingredients. Shaved ice made from natural ice (fresh syrups, creative syrups, retro syrups), nagomi taiyaki (homemade red bean paste, original batter, grilled over a gas flame), anmitsu (everything except the fruit and ice cream is handmade in the shop, including agar made by simmering tengusa seaweed), tokoroten (homemade agar, original sanbaizu vinegar, mustard mixed after you order), pumpkin pudding (rich flavor, homemade caramel), matcha tiramisu (a surprisingly fluffy, melty texture, made with generous amounts of carefully selected Uji matcha), oshiruko (oshiruko of homemade red bean paste with delicious mochi), grilled mochi (the classic isobe mochi, and the addictively tasty origina…

Found this place after visiting Daishi temple on a hot day and saw they have kakigori. It looks family-run because a very young boy came to bring me the menu. The kakigori is made with natural ice from the Alps! The ice is very crisp and cold, perfect for a hot day. I ordered the bitter matcha kakigori. It comes with a fromage cream on top, and a layer of red beans and mochi in the middle. Delicious and filling! Thank you!
View on GoogleThe ideal taiyaki. They rebake the finished ones and serve them crispy. The crust is fragrant, and it's packed so full of custard it's overflowing. The fish's face is cute too.
View on GoogleI used the eat-in area. The system requires one order per person, and you can't order only taiyaki. The woman at the register when I ordered was very unfriendly, which made me uneasy, but I figured as long as the food was good it was fine and waited at my seat. However, the female staff member who brought the food spilled water, and my clothes got soaking wet. At that point, the staff prioritized wiping the table with a wet towel, and any consideration for me (like handing me a dry towel first) was completely put off, which was very disappointing. Later a male staff member brought a dry cloth, but it's scary to think what if it had been hot tea. In the end they never wiped the table, just left the cloth and went back, and the shop didn't even replace the spilled water, so I ended up having to fetch it myself from the self-service counter. The service is worse than fast food, so before anything about the food, I strongly hope they improve their level of service.
View on GoogleA shop on the approach to Nishiarai Daishi famous for its 『taiyaki』 packed with homemade red bean paste. This time I ate inside for the first time, and they seem particular about absolutely everything; the 『beef tendon stew』 loaded with chunks of beef tendon was amazingly delicious!! \(^o^)/ The seasonal, super-huge 『whole peach shaved ice』 made with natural ice also seems to be carefully made one by one, taking time, and with every bite you taste different flavors—a gem that gives a sense of satisfaction no modern shaved ice can compare to!! (^-^) What surprised me most was the 『pumpkin pudding』 I took home!!! Of all the pumpkin puddings I've eaten—no, of all puddings— this is the most delicious in the world!! It's insanely good, so please try it!!!!! \(^o^)/
View on GoogleNot just to the tail—it's baked with custard cream overflowing from its whole body, so I got to enjoy the baked custard too! The batter is both crispy and chewy, delicious. You can have the pumpkin pudding with cinnamon or slightly bitter caramel as you like. Next time I'd like to come back for shaved ice along with taiyaki.
