Nice cake and a cozy atmosphere. Most things are in katakana so it should be manageable with basic Japanese.
View on GoogleIt was a wonderful cafe in a 280-year-old historic kominka (traditional folk house) building. The coffee also seemed carefully selected, and I felt it was much more delicious than S[x] or others. Right in front of the shrine's torii gate making it easy to find There is also a spacious area in the courtyard, and I thought 'I'll come back to this cafe soon'. The cake was also handmade, not sweet, and refreshing. There were Okinawa-like touches such as brown sugar desserts, which was fun.
View on GoogleLast month, I experienced pottery making at a shop inside the Registered Tangible Cultural Property Chakichian. Saying I came to pick up the finished work might be rude, but I had lunch at Yukuru Cafe. The interior is renovated from a traditional folk house, which is to my liking. For lunch, I had the spice curry with a drink. It was delicious. If it were in my neighborhood I'd want to go often... I'd love to try the Basque cheesecake for dessert too. I'd like to drop by again if I get the chance.
View on GoogleThe food here is recommended for health-conscious people. They seem particular about ingredients, and the food is very delicious. The staff's service is also very good, and I definitely want you to go eat there. It seems they also hold a sing-along cafe once a month, making it a shop that values the local community.
View on GoogleMy routine on weekends is to set off from the starting point of the Yamato River Cycling Road in front of Kashiwabara City Hall. If I'm in the mood, I extend my trip to Horyu-ji or Sakishima, and the joy along the way is searching for 'rest spots'. This time I headed to 'Yukuru Cafe', right in front of the large torii gate of Onji Shrine in Yao. The tasteful space renovated from a traditional folk house easily soothes a body tired from riding. The menu ranges from authentic curry to taco rice and even Miyako soba. It comes in handy whether you want a hearty meal or a light bite. The post-meal coffee and cafe au lait are also exquisite, and catching your breath in the calm atmosphere of the traditional folk house gives you the energy to start pedaling again! As a stopping spot for cyclists, it's a place I want to recommend with confidence.
