Living nearby for 4 years First time going and it was shocking Meat and horumon without pre-seasoning Jō-tan (top tongue), harami, loin, mino, tetchan All were delicious First time I ate yakiniku where I didn't need rice The dipping sauce was so delicious I drank it lol It was the best! Going again!
View on GoogleMy husband and I were talking about wanting to explore a different yakiniku restaurant today, and we happened to find 'Yakiniku Fuji' in Shiki, Yao City. We immediately called and made a reservation, and the voice of the mother of the shop who answered was so bright and energetic that we already felt excited even before going to the shop! The shop has a parking lot, so coming by car is OK. However, it might be a bit tricky to enter or exit, but we were able to use it without any particular issues. The moment we stepped into the shop, the father and mother cheerfully called out 'Irasshaimase!', instantly warming our hearts. When we were guided to our seat, salad and vegetables were already prepared, and we were very touched by the hospitality. Moreover, that salad was delicious too! It was a start that made us feel right from the beginning, 'I'm glad we came here.' Even when ordering, they friendly consulted with us saying, 'What are you gonna do for the menu?', 'We have recommendations~', and threw in considerate words like, 'Let me know if there's anything you dislike~', wrapping us in an overall warm atmosphere. On this day, we had harami, kalbi, shio-tan, and the heart with salt which they recommended, and every single cut of meat was truly tender and moved us. Moreover, even though it was thick-cut, they made deep slits in it, making it easy for heat to pass through and easy to handle when grilling, which is a happy point. The grilled meat is in a style where you can cut it to your preferred size with scissors and eat it, which is also fun and delicious. With every single bite, 'Delicious!' naturally spilled from our mouths, making us fully satisfied with every meat. We also asked about the horumon. Because they only handle fresh items, they definitely do not apply pre-seasoning to it! Unfortunately we missed out on eating it this time, but we will definitely have it next time. Their passion and commitment to meat, and their feeling of wanting customers to eat delicious things, came across strongly, making me realize anew what a truly wonderful shop this is. Especially the 'Shio-Tan' is exquisite. Tender and juicy, with solid umami, plenty of lemon served on the side, and we could enjoy it refreshingly and deliciously with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Throughout the meal, the mother and father occasionally spoke to us, and their brightness and kindness healed us greatly. Every time they talked to us, we felt happy, spending such a warm time where both heart and stomach were full. Also, the mother gave us some handmade pickles, and their deliciousness and hospitality really came through, making us very happy. Since we came by car we couldn't drink alcohol, but they prepared plenty of delicious tea, asking 'Is tea okay?', and the thoughtfulness of telling us 'Drink freely, okay?' made us happy. It had a sense of security as if returning to our parents' home, and we were able to enjoy our meal very pleasantly until the very end. It didn't end with just paying money to eat yakiniku; it's a truly wonderful yakiniku restaurant that makes you think, 'I want to come back and see them soon, bring a souvenir, see mom and dad, and go eat yakiniku at Fuji!' We definitely recommend it to locals as well as those who don't know 'Yakiniku Fuji' yet. Even for travelers or those unfamiliar with this area, visiting 'Yakiniku Fuji' makes this place shine even brighter—we felt it's a bright, kind, delicious, special yakiniku restaurant. Yakiniku Restaurant Fuji-san, father, mother, thank you for the special yakiniku and wonderful time. We would love to visit again. From a newlywed couple married for half a year 💐
View on GoogleA shop run by two super friendly married couples. The interior has lots of tatami seating and is spacious. Families with children are also fine. The meat was ridiculously tender. Unlike what it looks like, the dipping sauce is light. For meat, harami and kalbi are recommended. Salad and grilled vegetables aren't on the menu, but they bring them out aggressively on the house. Furthermore, fruit is also served free after the meal. A pricing setup and service that makes you worry about the shop... It was about 5000 yen for two people.
View on GoogleA yakiniku restaurant from the good old days Feels like the epitome of downtown yakiniku, and a friendly, seasoned master warmly welcomes you The horumon assortment also has outstanding volume A single slice—no, a small chunk of meat (lol)—has an outstanding visual impact, but with undeniable scoring cuts, heat passes through easily, and you can enjoy it deliciously
View on GoogleThey deal in meat that is very tender and has solid umami. Freshness is also good, and it was very delicious. The price is a bit high, but for this quality at this price, I think it's a fair price range.
