The owner of this shop is super friendly, I ordered two cups of Mocha coffee from Yemen using different brewing methods, which one of them requires 50 minutes to prepare using 150g of coffee. The coffee is very fruity and sweet and full of aroma. The other one is a cup of coffee that was aged for 10 days and it was also very unique and tasty. The coffee tastes like a rich, thick, melted chocolate. I also ordered the coffee that is aged for 30years, it is extremely tasty and tastes like ice wine and tropical fruit. The coffee here is truly unique and is truly an unforgettable experience.
View on GoogleExtremely appreciative for an 81 year old man to single handedly mange the whole cafe. Had really good caramelised coffee and the barrel experience along with it was amazing. Enjoyed hearing Mr. Tanaka’s life story. Highly recommended for all the coffee and bike enthusiasts.
View on Googlei’ve stumbled upon this very special place not knowing what i’m walking into. i had the 10 day aged coffee. richest and deepest flavour of coffee ive ever had. its a quiet little shop with a lot of soul. the owner is very kind and friendly and will give the same amount of detail and attention to each coffee he makes. very special place a must-see place for coffee and bike lovers.
View on GoogleWe came a long way to try the coffee from this cafe. We ordered both the fermented coffee -- its signature drink, and the super strong Spartan "espresso", one in Indonesian and one in Yemen beans. The Spartans came first, they are super rich -- we ordered the solo and each solo (roughly 20ml) contains 150g beans -- the taste literally exploded in my mouth once I sipped a tiny drop of it. These are absolutely unique. While I usually drink nutty coffee, I personally prefer the Yemeni acidic coffee at this strength, as it's much more aromatic and contains almost no bitterness but fragrance from coffee. Yet the fermented coffee was just mind blowing tasty-- no bitterness but full of fragrance of berries and a little bit alcohol-- I literally didn't care about my manner and licked the dish for its last drop! The cheese cake was a nice companion to the Spartan espresso, but I recommend finishing them before the fermented coffee as it would be a waste of the coffee. Recommend to come even its location isn't very close to the station and requires a bit of walking
