A newly opened charcuterie, this shop isn't cheap. For example, one can expect to pay ¥1200 for a small slice of pate en cruite. It's obviously aiming for a fairly exclusive market. It's located near Onji Shrine and isn't that easy to access being at the end of a series of narrow winding roads. On-site parking is ample though. Produce-wise, the quality is excellent and authentic. Both pates and the saucisson we tried were excellent quality, well conceived and delivered. The portions were just a bit on the small side. There is an interesting wine selection with, pleasingly, a very nice choice of Austrian wines. These are very reasonably priced and the Spanish rose we selected was a very accomplished wine. The only issue with the shop is the price though and it loses a star for this. Either portion size needs to increase or the price needs to fall as the product itself is superb.

A little under 15 minutes' walk from Onji Station. It opens at 11, but eat-in apparently starts at 12, so be careful. What we had this time ↓ Yao Edamame Cream Ale 900 yen Prosciutto mousse and persimmon 1,500 yen Scallop quenelle with lobster sauce (1 serving) 1,100 yen Sautéed octopus, boudin noir, tomato sauce 2,000 yen Chou farci (with chestnuts) 1,700 yen Pot-au-feu (1 serving) 950 yen Shared between 2. The ale has a soft edamame aroma. The prosciutto mousse: the gentle sweetness of the persimmon and the saltiness of the prosciutto are delicious. The quenelle is packed with scallop umami, and you coat it generously in the rich shrimp sauce. Boudin noir is a pork blood sausage. You can taste something liver-like, but it's not super funky or anything, and it's easier to eat than it looks. Chou farci is basically cabbage rolls. The something laid under the cabbage rolls and the sauce poured over them—no idea what either was, but both were super delicious. The pot-au-feu is simply comforting and tasty. Instead of dessert, we slowly sipped hot wine—thanks for the meal. The food takes a little while to come out, so take your time and relax. Also, I was so curious about the pâtés and salamis that I bought loads, but their best-before dates aren't very long, so be careful not to overbuy.

I bought products through the online shop (furusato nozei). Every item was very delicious. The chicken and sansho terrine was especially memorable. If I get the chance, I'd definitely like to visit the shop too.

A lovely shop selling homemade ham, sausages, pâté and more, along with wine. I hear the owner-chef trained in France for 9 years, and the owner-chef's wife is a sommelier.

Stylish, and they have unusual sausages. They let me sample some too, and they're delicious. Everything is meat that seems like it'd go well with wine. I came by car, so I'm taking it all home to enjoy~.
