Established in 2010 in the same Sakae-machi. Relocated with a fresh look in 2021. The chef, who trained in the port city of "Napoli" in southern Italy, uses carefully selected ingredients and takes time and effort to create dishes, and the pizza baked in the shop's kiln with a crispy outside and fluffy inside is a masterpiece that can only be tasted here. In the spacious and open interior, everyone from children to adults can relax and enjoy their meals. Gatto means "cat" in Italian. Please feel free to drop by with the feeling of a cat taking a casual break.

I never reviewed and that surprised me, because Il Gatto happens to be among the best Italian restaurants in Osaka and THE best in Yao. Have dined there for many years for different occasions, even for group parties. The owner learned Italian cuisine while staying in Italy, and the dishes are a great reflection of authentic tastes. Though the location recently changed, great cuisine is still prevalent and much more open and breathable atmosphere in the new location. I have always enjoyed every choice. In particular the puttanesca and ‘diavolo’ pizza. Also the ‘combination’ appetizer is delicious. Delicious salad and dessert, wines and drinks. Specials are also delightful to try. I always feel well-taken care of when I dine there by this family-run business. If you also enjoy cat paraphernalia, browse their interesting items featuring felines.

Probably about an 8-minute walk from JR Yao Station? If you just walk straight from the station, the shop is there. What I had for lunch was ◼️ Daily Pasta Lunch ✳️ Organic Vegetable Salad ✳️ Pumpkin Potage Soup ✳️ Daily Pasta Awaji Natural Red Snapper and Spring Cabbage Oil Sauce ✳️ Dessert ✳️ Original Blend Coffee Overall, it was a cohesive and delicious pasta lunch

At this restaurant, you can enjoy authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. The signature dish is said to be tomato cream spaghetti made with a whole swimming crab. I ate it too and it was very delicious. The manager is a great guy and the staff were kind. The portion was larger than I expected and I was full. It's a recommended restaurant.

Visited at night. It seems you can park a few cars in front, but if it's full, you need to park at a nearby coin-operated parking lot. When you enter the restaurant, there are cat-related items everywhere. Cat lovers might be happy about this. The service was very good, but perhaps because there were 4 groups visiting this time, I felt the food delivery time was a bit slow. I think there are too many seats relative to the restaurant's capacity. We enjoyed the food. There were a bit too many meat-based dishes, while the pasta and pizza were conversely mild in flavor—though it's a matter of preference, I felt the tomato sauce on the pizza was a bit watery. The dessert was delicious though. As rumored, the portion size left me full. It was winter so my feet were a bit cold. Despite writing various things, the staff's response was very good, thank you very much.

Stopped by for lunch. The interior is much more spacious than it looks from the storefront, and I was able to relax. Consideration for wheelchairs was observed in the restroom and stairs.
