A certain social media site introduced it as a place where you can eat sundubu, so I went for dinner. The shop is in the food court on the 1st floor of Ario Yao. Since it's a food court, we secured our seats before eating (lol) We ordered at the counter (I had sundubu and a kalbi rice bowl with large rice, my girlfriend had the sundubu and white rice set). When the buzzer went off we went to pick it up; from our seats we could see the kalbi being grilled (the staff told us to put the raw egg in the sundubu). This is just me, but maybe because I usually eat sundubu at Korean restaurants, the sundubu at Nikumaru Shoten felt off to me. As I kept eating, I realized it was sundubu made by a meat restaurant. The kalbi bowl apparently had large rice, but it felt like a regular portion? I might be told it's my fault for comparing it to the flyer, but the amount felt small. Well, I thought it's not bad in its own way. This is purely my personal opinion.

It had just opened so there weren't many people and we could pick any seat!? Easy to eat. Ordered the beef kalbi set meal and a draft beer. Drinking in the morning on a weekday!! The set meal tasted decent, and as breakfast it filled me up. You can get a large serving of rice for free. The beer was poured into an ice-cold mug, and after a toast — ahh, delicious!!

Even though it wasn't crowded, maybe because they were heating the sundubu, the food felt slow to come out. The sundubu was warm but the rice bowl was completely cold, which was disappointing. It didn't come with a renge spoon either, so after sitting down I went back to the pickup counter to get one, but they didn't keep any there either, and a staff member brought one from the back. There were various other disappointing things, and I don't think I'll use this place again.

A fairly new shop. The taste is so-so, but isn't the niku-sui terrible value for money? If it's your first time, something like the kalbi bowl is recommended for value. The Manpuku Set comes with 250g of harami on top, but it's over 1500 yen. If you're paying that much, there are other options.. Even so, I waited about 15 minutes for it to be ready.
