The large quantity of pottery brought from Kibi Province unearthed here suggests that the Mononobe clan, which was based here, may have come from Kibi Province. This is thought to be deeply connected to why Dōkyō, who descended from the Mononobe line, tried to establish a Western Capital here.

There are no ruins or burial mounds at all. Just a cemetery and a park.

It seems double-rimmed jars following the East Awa style and Awa-type pots (kame) have also been unearthed
