Called in advance and requested a budget of 4000 yen per person. In a good way, I was surprised that so much food came out for the price! The staff were all kind, and the 2nd-floor seating had generous spacing between seats, making it very comfortable. If you are looking for an izakaya around Shiki Station, you should definitely go at least once.
View on GoogleAlways use it for business exchange meetings. The sashimi is always supremely delicious. The dishes that come out vary each time. I suppose they change it depending on the harvested fish, but that's also part of the charm. Firsts this time were shark heart and conger pike hot pot. The conger pike hot pot had plenty of new onions, and while the conger pike was delicious, the new onions were also delicious—a new discovery. The shark heart required a bit of courage, but when eaten it was delicious, pleased everyone, and my colleague willingly ate it. Anyway, dishes were brought out one after another. There are few places where this much food comes out. And it's delicious.
View on GoogleCouldn't get a reservation easily right before, so made reservations early this time. As written in other reviews, you just tell them your budget and leave the rest to them. First came amberjack and flounder sashimi, chopped tuna, and chopped octopus with salmon roe. Both my husband and I love seafood so we've eaten all kinds, but it was really delicious! The amberjack was sliced thin yet crunchy and top-notch. And the shrimp!! This was an exceptionally large size, sweet, and chewy! Felt satisfied just with this variety of sashimi. Afterwards came blowfish skin tataki ponzu, fried flatfish, minced ball ankake, and because it was a birthday celebration, a whole grilled red snapper, looking just like New Year's ✨ My husband loves eating grilled red snapper while drinking sake, so even though they told him he could just pick at it, he kept eating it the whole time 😂 But even at this point I was already full, thinking if anything else comes out I might leave it..., and then the rest was seafood maki sushi and minced ball clear soup to finish. Looking at other people's food there seems to be many varieties, but maybe because the grilled red snapper came out, the variety was a bit less 🤔 Well, even so, I'm satisfied because I got to eat my fill of delicious seafood! Only, I was led to the 2nd floor grand hall? and since it was just the two of us, it was too quiet lol Checkout was also done right there on the 2nd floor, so nobody noticed when leaving the shop, and being noticed only after stepping outside felt a bit lonely, so -1 star. The person who brought the food was very polite. Would be nice to have a bright greeting when leaving. Thank you for the meal! Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleIt is delicious and you can eat a lot. It is a restaurant loved by the local people. It is a little-known secret spot among tourists in Japan and overseas. It is a short walk from Shiki station after getting off the train on the Yamatoji Line from Tennoji station. You need to make a reservation by phone in Japanese in advance. 美味しくてたくさん食べられます。地元民に激アツに愛されてるお店。国内外の観光客にあまり知られていない穴場中の穴場。 天王寺駅からJR大和路線一本で志紀駅下車歩いてすぐのところにあります。
View on GoogleReserved by phone at 17:30 on Sunday and used it. I called on the evening of the same day for a reservation, but they accepted it. It was table seating on the 2nd floor, but perhaps because of the time, nobody was there and it had a quiet atmosphere. Also, the space was wide and open, which was nice. The food was for 3000 yen, and it was luxurious with sashimi (flounder, yellowtail, hairtail salad), grilled horse mackerel, octopus with miso-vinegar dressing, fish ankake, and eel roll! The staff's polite response was also good. I want to go again!
