Town Chinese No. 231" Last night on the way back from a long drive eating tonkotsu ramen, I took out Chinese food. Mood was (intended for a light meal), But walking in, looking at the menu, and seeing the sign "All menu items available for takeout" changed my mind. The time was 8 PM. "Kaimon". A Chinese restaurant that somehow reminds me of Oishinbo. Run by a Japanese couple not yet elderly. The last night of a three-day weekend, no other customers. The menu pricing is set high, oops did I make a mistake? Well, maybe tomorrow's side dish? Ordered "Mapo Tofu" and "Sweet and Sour Pork" a la carte. Since I'm riding a motorbike for a bit, They packaged it solidly. Friendly service. It was heavy, but opening it up at home I see, I thought. The quantity is huge. True to the "All menu items available for takeout" sign, the containers are sturdy and there are no spills. The quantity is probably about 1.5 times that of other shops. An old-school Chinese restaurant, a place assuming entry by many people. Or better for big eaters. Since I had it, I ate only the Mapo Tofu with home rice, the numbness and spiciness were just right, a delicious Japanese mapo tofu. I also used the Sichuan peppercorns stocked at home. I thought it's natural for this place to last long. After all, the master asked "How do you want the spiciness?" when cooking. I'm eating the sweet and sour pork across days, but aromatically there are no complaints. Huge portion. *One-day-late comment Off work shift and it's raining all day. Warming it up a bit and having sweet and sour pork with freshly cooked rice is comforting and "full of holiday vibe". Outside rain / post-bath / freshly cooked rice / beer with sweet and sour pork. Mixing homemade scrambled eggs with the sweet and sour pork sauce, nothing beats it (laughs).
View on GoogleA place where you can eat old-school town Chinese. Visited because I was always curious passing in front of it. The interior and atmosphere of the shop are nostalgic old-school town Chinese. Seems like there are many regulars and the master's vibe is ◎ Plenty of menu items and the taste is average town Chinese so it's not bad ◎ A good shop I'd like to drop by casually again.
View on GoogleOrdered gyoza and gomoku fried rice. This is a textbook orthodox town Chinese restaurant. Cost-performance is high. The gyoza were small but full of flavor, and the gomoku fried rice was slightly moist with enough saltiness to be satisfying on its own. I came alone, but since it was empty, they kindly guided me to a table so I could eat leisurely. I would definitely repeat if it were in the neighborhood. Thank you for the meal ♪
View on GoogleA long-standing town Chinese restaurant 😊 A shop run by a married couple 😊 Went again after a long time. Yeah Everything you eat is delicious! Gyoza goes well with beer ☺️ It was delicious! Thank you for the meal ✨
View on GoogleThere was no fried rice and ramen set, but The fried rice was exceptional. Not greasy, fluffy and soft texture. The ramen was also delicious, but the fried rice was especially good.
