The best teishoku restaurant I’ve ever been to!
View on GoogleShowa-era atmosphere inside. It's mostly counter seating, so it might not suit large groups. Great value overall! The portions are decent too, so it's very satisfying. The taste isn't bad either. I had the katsudon, and it was delicious! The flavor is a bit strong. The staff are very friendly, so I might come back if I'm ever nearby.
View on GoogleNear Hankyu Toyonaka Station, it looks like a kissaten inside and out, but it's a proper eatery where you can have a full meal. Above all, the prices are reasonable even in these times, and the service is amazing. The photo shows the daily set meal (680円), which comes with one of miso soup, udon, or soba, chosen when ordering. The staff were friendly, and it was bustling with locals. There are lots of menu items, a wide lineup to choose from. A nice place I'd go to regularly if it were near me.
View on GoogleWhen I came in, my first thought was, what a shabby place〜. But the menu was so extensive that I took ages deciding, and the owner was kind to me, which made me happy. I'll come again😊 Photos🤳 Oyakodon with the miso soup changed to soba🍚 Karaage set meal🍗 Omurice🍴 Nanbanzuke set meal🥢
View on GooglePlenty of volume, and cheap and delicious on top of that. You can tell from the conversations between the staff and customers that it's a place loved by locals. The restaurant keeps the atmosphere of a Showa-era diner exactly as it was, so you might hesitate a bit to go in the first time, but they treat every customer the same.
