A homely atmosphere in this fine Udon noodle shop off the beaten track in Osaka. The hotpots and curry Udon are exceptionally good choices.

View on GoogleThe food was delicious and comforting. The udon was some of the best I've had in Japan!
View on GoogleWhen I was looking for udon in Toyonaka, I found a shop popular with locals that was selected as one of the top 100 shops on Tabelog! I visited on Sunday at 11:40 and managed to sit down without waiting. After us, people waited for about 30 minutes. It seems there are seats on the 2nd floor, but because it is managed by a busy family, it seems they operate mainly on the 1st floor. Udon is cut every time it is ordered and put into a large pot. Not recommended for those who don't have time. From ordering, eating, to paying, it took almost an hour. Even so, the satisfaction level is high, and I want to visit again when I'm nearby!
View on GoogleA few days ago, it was introduced on TV and I thought it looked delicious, so when I checked it out, I found that my favorite "Hiyakake" was on the menu! I visited for the first time right away. The shop is located along the road near Hankyu Hattori Tenjin Station, and there are two parking spaces for the shop across the road in front of the shop. Inside the shop there are counter seats and table seats, and the style is to order from the staff. The menu has many types, and as introduced on TV, keema curry udon seems to be famous for being delicious, and many people ordered it. As planned, I ordered hiyakake udon (without green onions) and kayaku rice. For the broth, it was a slightly light taste and a delicious broth with the scent of dried sardines🙂 For the udon, it was quite chewy and the more you chew, the more the wheat smells, it was a delicious udon😄 For the kayaku rice, this was also a little light, but it was a delicious seasoned kayaku rice☺️ Next time maybe keema curry udon🙂
