It was about a 7~8 minute walk from Hankyu Sone Station. I asked someone tending the trees in front of the gate whether I could go in. They kindly said yes, so I went in. Inside there's a garden with benches, so I thought it'd be good for a short rest. I went during the rainy season, so I got bitten by mosquitoes. Some of the trees had been trimmed, so it looked neat. Someone happened to be playing a musical instrument inside the building. But going inside the building to listen to the performance costs money, so I gave up.
View on GoogleIt's a castle made up of two sites in one (the Southern Castle and the Northern Castle), and in heavily built-up residential Osaka, it's a valuable castle ruin where earthen ramparts still remain in this Northern Castle section. Today the Harada Castle ruins are the Former Hamuro Family Residence; the interior is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3:30 PM, and to go inside the ramparts you need to be guided by staff.
View on GoogleIt's a castle ruin. There was only a monument and an information board. It seems to be open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons as "Harada Shiroato-kan" (please check the Toyonaka City website for details). It looked like the earthen ramparts and such still remain, but I didn't go inside, so I don't know the details.
View on GoogleLooks like you can only go inside on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4. Unfortunately I couldn't get in, but it seems they have all sorts of events, so I'm thinking of stopping by again
View on GoogleThe locals kindly showed me around, and you can learn its history both as a castle and as a house that's a registered tangible cultural property You can get coffee for just 200 yen too, if you're nearby you should definitely go
