When walking around Okamachi, you will definitely notice the shop that has a strong presence of having been there forever. When I heard "it is said to be the oldest in Osaka", I couldn't walk past it and stopped by for lunch on this day. [Location] Right from Hankyu Okamachi Station. Sitting at the corner of the Okamachi Shopping District, you won't get lost even for the first time. [Shop] From the exterior, you can feel the history. The inside of the store has a calm atmosphere, and it was impressive to see locals eating as a matter of course. [Impressions] Ordered the daily mini bowl set. On this day - Chuka soba - Mini Oyakodon Chuka soba from a udon restaurant has a light soup with a somewhat nostalgic taste. It seems quite popular. Oyakodon also has a gentle seasoning, not flashy but with a great sense of security. I felt that restaurants that last a long time continue to protect this kind of "taste just right for everyday life". I thought I wanted to go again.
View on GoogleI was taught by my dad and got totally hooked. The menu items I want to eat are all there with no misses. The curry is so exquisite you'll drink it all up. Are the rolled sushis handmade? The seaweed is thick and delicious!! I'd definitely love to get takeout.. I have an image that it's crowded from 12:00 to 13:30, And since there are only 4-seater tables, if you go alone you'll share a table ⚠︎ I want to eat slowly by myself, so I try to go at 11:30 or 14:00. For your reference ^^
View on GoogleA historic udon restaurant founded in the 1st year of Kan'ei The 1st year of Kan'ei is AD 1624 ‼️ The early Edo period, just 9 years after the Summer Siege of Osaka where Osaka Castle burned down and the Toyotomi family perished! An extremely old-established shop that has seen the samurai, the Meiji Restoration, the Pacific War, and the Showa era. This is amazing! You can enjoy rice bowls and pressed sushi centered around Osaka udon. Omurice and chicken rice have a nostalgic Showa taste with tomato ketchup. Actually, I lived nearby in my childhood, and it's a nostalgic taste that remains in my memory of ordering delivery for oyakodon or kitsune udon when guests came. Of course, if it lasts for over 400 years, it was already an old shop in my childhood. The order upon visiting after a long time is of course oyakodon! Paired with udon as a lunch service. Using plenty of egg, the dashi and egg blend well into the rice, and the end is like raw egg on rice! Please taste this. Udon is a soft Osaka udon, and the bonito dashi blends in firmly. Please feel the 400-year history of this restaurant that carves history!
View on GoogleIt looks so much like a Yoshimoto Shinkigeki set, but it was an upscale restaurant 💕❤️ Next time I'll have Tanin-don and udon 💕❤️ I bought Tasu-ju to take home. I'm looking forward to it 😆😋
View on GoogleI had the Tanin-don set (990 yen). It comes with a mini-sized Tanin-don, udon (soba or chuka soba is also available), and pickled radish. Being a long-established restaurant, the taste is stable. The udon is on the soft side. Looking around, there are many older customers, so it might be taken into consideration? Udon and soba are standard, but they also have Chinese menus like ramen, fried rice, and chukadon. There is also omurice, so maybe for children? There are other ramen shops and Chinese restaurants, but they seem to be counter-style shops. This one has plenty of tables, so families can relax with plenty of room.
