3-star rating. Kawase Coffee Tondabayashi Branch is a cafe located inside WAY Bookstore, making it an easy place to use for a break during shopping. The interior is easy to drop into, and it's just right when you want to take a breather. However, it's often crowded depending on the time of day, so if you want to spend time leisurely, it seems better to watch the timing a bit. While there's nothing particularly special about the taste or atmosphere, you can feel the convenience of its location. Being co-located with a bookstore, it's a cafe that is fully usable for the purpose of a light break.

An open cafe located in a corner of TSUTAYA. At lunchtime, besides various koppepan sandwiches, they also have pasta. I chose the hamburger steak because it looked delicious, but it was a bit too sweet and not quite to my taste. Salad, a large piece of bread, and coffee for 1,320 yen. I thought maybe I splurged a bit for an everyday lunch, but I was glad I could relax. The creme brulee and cake also looked delicious.

The first cafe branch of Pan Kobo Kawa, which operates mainly in Wakayama and Osaka. It is co-located inside the TSUTAYA store. Ordered hot coffee and a koppepan. The coffee served in a heavy, thick mug was extremely light. The bitterness was quite subdued and easy to drink. The amount felt a bit large. The mouthfeel is good, but people who prefer strong coffee might find it lacking. Selected large peanuts for the koppepan. I wanted to eat a sweet-style koppepan, but most were on the savory side and there were few types to choose from, which was disappointing. I would have been happy if there was at least one chocolate type. On the day, despite it being morning, only one store-limited koppepan could be chosen. The peanut koppepan was neither good nor bad. The bread itself is delicious. However, the price of 330 yen is questionable. The interior is clean but has a somewhat déjà vu atmosphere. The counter seats have a food court-like structure and look a bit cheap. Despite setting slightly higher prices, you don't feel the uniqueness of a bakery-run cafe. As a feature, you can bring books lined up at TSUTAYA into the store before purchasing them, allowing you to read while sitting rather than just standing and reading. This has no benefit for digital users or those sensitive to hygiene, but I think it's a good service for people who prefer paper media. Meeting up or using it with multiple people might be convenient. On the other hand, I had a strong personal impression that it's not the kind of shop to frequent alone. It's unclear whether it's allowed or not, but there was also someone who bought bread at the next-door bakery and brought it in to eat. Free parking available. Even if the TSUTAYA parking lot is full, the adjacent bakery parking lot can also be used.

Used it for breakfast. Relaxed leisurely with my pet dog on the terrace seats. Dogs are okay as long as it's the terrace seats. Coffee with a menu centered on koppepan where the roast brings out a great aroma. Superb. As other people wrote, because there are few staff members and many seats, it takes about 30 minutes for the ordered food to arrive. Recommended for people who can relax while reading books or drinking coffee. Also, smoking is allowed, but not suitable if you don't want to bother your dog with secondhand smoke. I knew in advance that the service was slow, but I waited quite a bit, so minus 1 star. Other than that, it's superb.

Great! I could read books from the bookstore and the food was delicious. The coffee is also good. There were no weird people, so I could relax. The koppepan sandwiches have a lot of varieties and are my favorite! The cakes are also delicious. The store staff are kind too. Please handle and read the books gently, and just return them to the store rack when you're done reading.
