It opens at 11, but the owner was late, so the opening seemed a bit delayed. Also, the cleanliness was a bit lacking, and I thought they should clean and wipe things down more thoroughly. Anyway, I bought the family pack with a mix of breast and thigh meat that I was looking forward to, along with 10 chicken wings, but when I opened and ate them, the chicken wings were greasy with oil. The family pack had very little thigh meat and was about 80% breast meat... I thought the ratio would be about half and half, so I was surprised. Perhaps they were in a rush, or perhaps they didn't drain the oil properly, but it was soggy and greasy with oil. Committed flavor? What is this? It had no distinctive taste and was really too disappointing.. It's been a while since I've eaten karaage like this. I'm the type of person who hates waste and eats everything, but this is the first time I left food behind.

A newly opened takeout-only karaage specialty shop. I bought some to try and take home. It's normally delicious. The chicken had a good bite to it without being tough, which was nice. They had bento boxes in addition to just karaage. Of course, they were karaage bento and chicken nanban bento...

鶏笑 is read as 'Torisho'. It is located on the southwest corner of the Itamochiminami intersection facing north on Route 309. You can park your car in the shared parking space with the adjacent coin laundromat. The staff members are all energetic and greet you with a smile. Karaage basically comes in thigh (momo) and breast (mune) cuts, and they seem to be sold in combinations of those. The seasoning is said to be Chinese soy sauce, making it slightly light, which might feel a bit refreshing amidst many heavily seasoned karaage styles out there. Conversely, some people might find it a bit lacking. They also sold chicken wings and gizzards, among other things. November 2019

When writing this review, I realized for the first time that this place is Tondabayashi. I personally play amateur baseball, and I stop by if I have the chance when heading to the baseball fields near this shop. I don't know how many years have passed since the shop opened, but I feel like it's been there even before the karaage boom. First, regarding the shop's atmosphere, it's basically takeout only. However, given the nature of karaage, I think it tastes better while hot, so in that case, there is a single chair placed in the parking lot, and I recommend eating there or inside your car. Next, regarding the staff's customer service, I feel that no matter when I go or who is on duty, the service is always bright and energetic. The owner probably gives them good training. As for the crucial taste, whether you eat the karaage or the chicken nanban, I think the quality is above average. Therefore, I think it's at a level where I'd want to buy it when I'm in the neighborhood. It seems prices went up due to recent soaring raw material costs, but I think the quality matches the price. However, perhaps because of the karaage boom? In recent years, I feel that the originality and quality of karaage in general have become quite high. Considering that, am I the only one who feels something is a bit lacking? It's quite far from the center of Osaka, but I hope people who have a chance to stop by nearby will give it a try.

Opened on February 17th. I visited during weekday lunchtime, and there was a bit of a wait. It seems many people buy in bulk. All the staff members are friendly. There is quite a strong smell from the secret seasoned sauce, so please be careful that the smell might stick to your clothes if you wait inside.
