A shop right near Tondabayashi-Nishiguchi Saturday before 8 PM, no customers inside the shop When I ordered tempura soba, I was asked, "Tempura takes some time, is that okay??" and of course I replied it's okay. It came out in about 15 minutes? Is the tempura oil a little old?? Although it was fried crispy, I somehow bothered by the smell of the oil. Also, visually, the color of the tempura was probably not the color of delicious tempura. The soba was delicious. Sobayu was served without asking anything. There was a TV playing in the shop. I don't know, personally I didn't feel very comfortable.
View on GoogleUsed it on a Saturday afternoon. For those going by car, since I couldn't find a parking lot nearby, I think it's better to park a little further away or walk. We used it as a family, but there were no other customers so it was like a private reservation. Since tempura and soba are boiled after receiving the order, I recommend coming with plenty of time. This time I ordered the "Hanasaki Sakura Gozen". The appetizer served at the beginning has a gentle taste and goes well with sake. The tempura is served piping hot. Sobagaki contains rough remaining grains of buckwheat seeds, eaten by pouring sauce over it. I ordered warm soba, but if the temperature rises a bit more, I would definitely like to try zaru soba. When asked, I heard that this menu started recently, and it's good for those who find just eating soba at noon unsatisfactory. There are plenty of types of alcohol, so it might be good to enjoy a light drink from the evening. It's a walking distance from both Tondabayashi Station and Nishiguchi Station, so if you walk a bit further you can enjoy delicious soba. Due to the COVID disaster, customer numbers may be small everywhere, but enjoying delicious soba once in a while might be nice.
View on GoogleThe soba itself was pretty delicious. There was a lantern event in Terauchi-machi, and feeling tired at night, I searched for a good restaurant nearby, wondering if there was any soba, and arrived. Entering the shop, the TV was playing at a high volume, and when placing the soba tea served after seating, whether placing condiments, soba, tempura, or anything 'CLANG!!' a loud sound echoes. Right after entering the shop 'What would you like to drink?' Since I was driving, I answered 'No, water is fine' Was she pissed off by that, 'Are you angry? Are people here angry? Did I do something wrong?' I asked my companion, but that wasn't the case.. When I punched the wall with my fist, the base of the wallpaper was concrete. I see. The walls of this shop are solidly surrounded by cement, and it's a structure where all sounds echo loudly inside the shop. Well, since it costs money, I can't tell them to cover the walls with sound-absorbing materials, but I felt sorry that this discomfort comes from the building. And then the air inside the shop. You would understand if I called it the stale smell of a shabby izakaya. A peculiar foul odor rising from the old drainage pipes. That is caused by aging or structurally problematic pipes, but for me with a sensitive sense of smell, this smell was already too much. Sometimes, repeatedly pouring hot water and disinfectant into the drain multiple times a day on a bad day can improve it, but it's a pity that the negative effects caused by the building, both walls and smell, become a major minus point. The soba itself was pretty delicious.
View on GoogleFirst visit Since there is no parking lot, I parked in the parking lot of a nearby supermarket and walked for 5 minutes Since it's my first time, I ordered the recommended soba tasting Aimori The soba is a bit thin but has a good aroma, it's a waste to eat it with just dashi Freshly grated wasabi is also exceptional. It was also good to taste it with salt. It would have been even better if the salt was coarse salt Sobayu is also thick Today I didn't order tempura, but I heard a good sound of tempura oil. I want to try tempura next time too 😃
View on GoogleDue to work, used it for the first time. As a huge fan of zaru soba, I looked up a soba restaurant online and came, but it was a meat soba type. I ordered zaru and ate it, and it felt mediocre. Came on another day and ordered the tempura set meal. (Forgot to take a picture) When I ate the set meal that came out, the "rice" was unbelievably "fluffy" and delicious! Being picky about rice taste coming from a farming background, it was truly delicious! Putting chopsticks into the bowl and putting it in my mouth, melting like cotton candy was a first-time experience! How to cook rice, please really teach me.
