"Yakiniku Yamaoka" is an authentic yakiniku restaurant in Takatsuki City run by a famous hunter in Hokusetsu. Our shop is just 15 seconds from Hankyu Tonda Station—super convenient! We're open at dinnertime♪ The flavor of domestic A4-rank Kuroge Wagyu beef is exceptional! We also have a wide variety of offal, and please try the wild boar and venison carefully selected by the hunter! The master's recommended menu also lets you enjoy meat available only that day. For those who want to try a little of various meats, we also offer S sizes, so please compare them! Please feel free to ask us about anything you're unsure of or any requests. For banquets, drinking parties, girls' nights, family lunches and dinners, and all kinds of occasions, authentic yakiniku in Takatsuki City…

The ratings were good, so my wife, our kids (5 and 2) and I excitedly went without a reservation before opening, but no one was lined up, and even at opening time they were still prepping, so we waited about 20 minutes I called and they let us in, and we ordered various menu items, but the staff told us this isn't available, that isn't available, so we couldn't tell what we'd ordered and what wasn't available, and when they brought dishes there was no explanation either, On top of that, I ended up paying for menu items that never came, the loss was only 700 yen though, The staff's service was mediocre It was our wedding anniversary, and for various reasons we picked this place on short notice, but you're better off not picking it We ordered gibier meat but they brought it with no explanation, and they took away the plate we were using as a receiving dish on their own with a "I'll clear this~". It was a place we happened to choose for our precious wedding anniversary, but it was disappointing. I wanted to leave quickly, so I paid smoothly without saying anything, and as we were about to leave, someone who seemed to be the manager gave us 1000 yen worth of venison jerky, In terms of money it's a 300-yen loss, but emotionally it's quite disappointing. I don't recommend going. I recommend going if you don't care about ratings or service.

A yakiniku restaurant in front of Tonda Station Believe it or not, the master of this place is a famous hunter who's been a member of the Hokusetsu Hunting Association for over 20 years, so besides yakiniku you can enjoy gibier like wild boar and venison at really affordable prices This was my first visit, and I came not for yakiniku but for the botan nabe On the blackboard, the recommendations included rare items you hardly ever see, like deer liver and heart, and wild boar tongue Botan nabe usually goes for 6000円 and up per 100g serving, but since this restaurant sources the meat itself, it's offered at an unbeatable price: 120g for 4180円, with a mountain of vegetables The beautiful arrangement of the meat and the pile of vegetables had my excitement soaring, soaring right from the start The thick fat of the wild boar meat and the beautiful contrast of red and white had me staring in awe When you think of botan nabe you picture a rich miso broth, but this place makes the most of the freshness of its ingredients with an unusual shabu-shabu style This was seriously, insanely delicious — you can enjoy the deep flavor of the wild boar's lean meat and the sweetness of its fat directly, without it being masked by miso You can dip it generously in sesame sauce with the vegetables, or enjoy it with refreshing ponzu Even though the fat is this thick, it's light and doesn't sit heavy on your stomach It was so good I ended up ordering more meat Each of us had 3-4 drinks and added lots of meat, and it still came to about 7500円 per person Who knew there was a place in Hokusetsu serving botan nabe this fresh and delicious at such a reasonable price... I really want you to try this wild boar shabu-shabu! I'd like to go back to eat venison too

The service and hospitality are good too. Only the tongue was a bit small and had a slight gamey smell, but everything else was delicious. Apparently they also have venison and wild boar depending on the season, so if I get the chance I might want to try it. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor with no elevator, so it might be a bit tough if you have a stroller.

A place where basically all the meat is delicious. The kalbi with its tasty fat, the saikoro bara that's lean but tender and juicy, and the harami, a sure bet as always — all delicious. Also, unusually for a yakiniku restaurant (an independent one), they have an à la carte all-you-can-drink option, so it's a great deal if you go with your drinking buddies. And the staff, including the owner's daughters — their service, friendliness, smiles, and attentiveness were all flawless. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to. I'll be visiting again. I was so absorbed in eating and drinking that I forgot to even take photos of the food and meat, so I've uploaded a photo of the storefront I took on the way out.

At this place, the master is a famous hunter, a hidden gem where you can eat meat the master hunted personally🐗👏🏻 Botan nabe, reservation required by the day before 1 serving 4,180円 incl. tax Apparently wild boar doesn't get tough even when simmered And sure enough, no matter how long it cooked it never got tough The flavor of the meat didn't leach out either, it stayed rich But there was no gamey smell at all Even the fat was light, I was blown away☺️🤍 It was my first time having botan nabe so I don't know the going rate but with plenty of vegetables and a solid amount of meat I'm convinced it's an unbeatable price🥰🥰 Apparently miso hot pot is the standard for botan nabe but here they're confident in the flavor, so it's shabu-shabu style🫧 Both the miso sauce and the ponzu sauce are homemade and delicious the ponzu is apparently blended in-house not too strong, not too weak, just the right taste🤍 And pouring this ponzu over the closing zosui to change up the flavor was the absolute best🤤💗 For extra meat I ordered venison🦌 bright red meat with no fat lean meat packed with iron, especially good for women the master vouched for it💁🏽‍♂️ Apparently it's so rich in iron that really sensitive people can taste the iron but all I tasted was how delicious the meat was🤣lol Even with so little fat, it didn't get tough when cooked and stayed tender because the sinew is carefully cut, apparently👏🏻 You really should add the venison too🦌☑️ After the closing zosui I also had the recommended mini venison curry apparently when it's simmered, half the pot is venison that's the ratio😳👏🏻 Sure enough, every spoonful of roux had tender, falling-apart meat, so luxurious🥰 Even for me, not really a curry person, this is something I'd want to eat every day🍛❤️‍🔥 Great hospitality and a really comfortable atmosphere🧸 The master, the master's daughter, and other staff were there and they were all such lovely, kind people with a warm vibe🩵💛 I'll be back again🤍🤍🤍
