I used to love "Ramen Issaku." At some point I stopped going. A slightly sweet, thick soup with a vague flavor and springy thick noodles. I used to love tuning it to my taste with the flavor-changing items, piling on loads of the free green onions set at the seat, and topping it with red pickled ginger. My usual custom was a drizzle of ramen tare and a little karashi miso. When it works out, it turns out exactly how I like it. Add too much and it gets salty, the taste is ruined, and eating becomes an ordeal. The app coupons used to feel like a good deal too, and I'd even go just because I saw a coupon and wanted to use it... But prices went up, and the coupons lost their appeal. And my beloved free green onions got changed for the worse into a hassle. The green onions disappeared from the tables, got gathered in one place, and now you put them in a small dish and carry them back to your seat. This is just not okay. It's a bad change that even longtime devotees are fed up with. There's not a single good thing left. If it doesn't improve, I probably won't come anymore... I hope they fix it soon😔

My relationship with kotteri ramen has now passed 42 years, and I'm about to turn 60 myself. Over the last 10-plus years, it's become a nearly perfected, rock-solid kotteri ramen! My home shop has changed from Ibaraki to Takatsuki, but no matter when I go, it never wavers! Every time I go, I leave with a dose of happiness. Yep, here's another old guy who's decided his last dinner will be kotteri ramen. Thank you as always. As long as I can keep coming, I'll keep coming to eat.🙇

All the staff were very kind, polite, and smiling. The ramen was rich and delicious. There are noodle options (standard, thin, whole wheat), and you can choose the firmness too. Also, the price changes, but you can choose the richness level of the soup. Whenever I get the chance to stop by, it's comfortable and delicious, so I go eat there. You also get a ticket for one free crane game play at Round1, so I think kids will love it too😊

We got an ad delivered to our home, so we went for lunch on a Sunday. We shifted the timing a bit and arrived just before 14:00, but sure enough, there were quite a lot of people with the same idea. You write your name on the board inside and wait a bit. There were about 7 groups waiting, but the turnover was pretty quick, I think? We got in after about 15 minutes. I ordered the kotteri karaage set, and my wife got the tori paitan. We were told to help ourselves to green onions and pink ginger, so I took some on a small plate, and when I got back to my seat the bowls had already arrived. The kotteri was thicker and more sludgy than Tenichi. The noodles are square-cut medium-thin noodles, cooked on the soft side. Classic toppings: chashu, menma, green onions. Partway through, I changed it up with spicy miso to add heat, and it got even tastier! Wanting a bit more, I added a little Gekikara Pyonpyon Spice… Be careful with this spice. Add it very cautiously. It packs a serious punch. When I tried a bit of my wife's tori paitan, it had a slightly shellfish-broth-like taste and was quite light. The karaage was well seasoned, and dipping it in the kotteri soup was GOOD.
