Wandering around and it seemed to have a rich variety of Japanese sake, so I went in. Of course there were various kinds of sake, and since they also do smoking/smoked items, I enjoyed it. The smoke was strong so it might be a bit tough for beginners? But for smoked food lovers, it was irresistibly delicious 😋
View on GoogleAn izakaya specializing in Japanese sake. It's compact, but has counter and table seating. There are quite a variety of small dishes. Impression is that they serve solid sashimi. Since it's a calm space, I think it's a restaurant where you can drink leisurely and quietly even when full. Used it several times.

View on GoogleThe 3-sake tasting set menu said to feel free to ask about the varieties, so they lined up and showed us the bottles of sake. We couldn't change the varieties. Such inflexibility is unbelievable for someone doing business in the Kansai region. Anyway, ordered the freshly made tofu from the menu; it came later than the chicken karaage. It was a style where you sprinkle salt yourself as you eat, but the umami of the soybeans couldn't be felt at all. Bonito shuten was delicious. Wish the portion was a bit bigger. Chicken karaage was a simple plate of just placing 2 pieces on tempura paper. The post-sprinkled salt was way too strong to eat. Isn't there even lemon? The owner was unfriendly, and since they seem to run the shop as a couple, I think it's plus for the two of them. That made 2,230 yen. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleWhen I visited during the Takatsuki Jazz Street on May 3rd, I was drawn in by the Japanese sake. They had smoked items and such, and the lineup of sake was good too, but when I ordered warmed sake (kanzake), it came out in a chirori and in a state where it could be kept warm, which was great. Since I love Japanese sake, enjoying the sake vessels was also fun. The master was also friendly and it was a good restaurant. A place I want to go when I go to Takatsuki.
