A small restaurant where you can get a full lunch at a ridiculously low price. The lunch options are posted out in front, so take the time to review them before entering so you can order quickly.
View on GoogleI used it after a little while, and surprise, the price hasn't changed. In this day and age, it's surprising that there are no price revisions. Fried shrimp lunch ¥700 It's cheap. I don't know how many times I've used it, It's a delicious and cheap restaurant. This time, tempura lunch, ¥650 Cheap, delicious. Inside the restaurant, it's packed to full capacity with about 20 people. Counter seats and table seats. There is no parking lot. It's a restaurant with delicious daytime lunches. I've used it many times. I've eaten almost all the lunch menus. I'm surprised by how cheap it is. I recommend the fish set meal, Almost all lunches are ¥650 It gets crowded at lunch. The food is also prepared with care. It seemed to have been in business for over 40 years. Inside is full with about 20 people. It's located about a 5-minute walk from the station, but it's in a rather hard-to-find location. This time, it's the mixed fry set meal.
View on GoogleIt is a coffee shop located in a residential area rather than the downtown area, about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu 'Takatsuki-shi' Station. Of course, there is no parking lot. Its location is also very hard to find. Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats and several table seats, and the nicely aged interior tells the history of the shop. You won't find salarymen staring at laptops for hours or high school girls absorbed in chatting here. It is certainly not new nor stylish, but rather than those modern cafes, this atmosphere where you can fully enjoy the good old days of the Showa era provides the greatest comfort for our generation. They operate a lunch service during the day. You can choose from several types, and the prices are so cheap you'd think it's still the Showa era, with generous portions, and above all, you can get delicious set meals. One dish you should definitely try is the 'Grilled Chicken Set Meal / 650 yen (tax included)'. It is an exquisite dish of tender chicken with a light batter drizzled in a spicy sauce. The seasoning goes great with white rice, making it impossible to put your chopsticks down. It is run by an elderly couple, and both the food and customer service have a calm warmth. I hope they stay well forever and continue to protect this atmosphere and this taste.
View on GoogleThis is a matter for complaint. Just by knowing this place, I couldn't go to other lunch spots anymore. Even in 2026, there are 2 or 3 delicious home-style set meals starting from 650 yen to 700 yen (one of them is an exquisite cutlet curry) This is no longer eating out. Nutritional balance, taste, volume, price It is no exaggeration to say that everything is top-notch. I think. And nearby there is a daily set meal shop called Yamabiko for 580 yen. I travel all over Japan, but Takatsuki City is one of the best lunch districts.
View on GoogleMy work in Takatsuki the other day. I asked for restaurant recommendations for lunch on-site, and promptly decided to try one of them. It's on the west side of Hankyu Takatsuki-shi Station, between the Hankyu Kyoto Line and National Route 171, but it's hard to explain because it's in an alley. Head north from the Takatsuki Police Station front intersection on National Route 171, and turn left at the dead end. Coffee Shop Jun. Isn't the Showa retro atmosphere nice? It was good that I went a bit early for lunch, but past 12 it instantly gets packed to capacity... Well, the Takatsuki City Hall is nearby too. Today's special set meals are 3 types: fried shrimp set meal, cutlet curry, and pork bowl today. Well then, I'll go with the fried shrimp set meal (700 yen tax included). It's a nice-looking set meal. Oh, there are 3 pieces of fried shrimp. The firmly fried batter is crunchy and delicious. Dip it generously in the homemade tartar sauce. The miso soup ingredients are also quite substantial... clams, enoki mushrooms, deep-fried tofu, and seaweed. Moreover, the fried tofu is cooked sweet. Large cold tofu with Chinese-style sauce. I had a cheap and delicious lunch. If you're curious, definitely check it out.
