I had a course meal at Eisan, near Takatsuki Station. From the colorful appetizers to the extremely fresh sashimi, you can fully savor the natural umami of the fish. The grilled and fried dishes are cooked with careful heat control, resulting in an elegant flavor that brings out the best in the ingredients. As seen in the photos, the presentation is also beautiful, and the chef's attention to detail can be felt in every dish. From the finishing rice dish and soup to the refreshing final dessert, everything is meticulously prepared for a highly satisfying experience. The calm interior is ideal for business dinners, gatherings, or meals with a spouse. It is a popular spot with a strong local following. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy a slightly upscale Japanese meal in Takatsuki.
View on GoogleA little past 12 PM on a weekday. There are many bicycles in front of the restaurant. Upon entering, I was asked, "Do you have a reservation?" Since I came without any prior info, I thought, "Ah, it's that popular..." and was about to give up, but I'm so glad they guided me to the counter. I ordered the Eisan Plate Set and hot coffee. Even though it seemed busy, the food was served in about 15 minutes. It is extremely beautiful with various kinds of enjoyable Japanese plate set meals ✨️ Everything is genuinely serious Japanese cuisine and truly delicious, making me very full and satisfied, but for a guy who eats a decent amount, it might feel a little lacking. It's a plate made by a real chef that makes you think, "Dinner must be expensive..." I definitely want to drop by again when I come to Takatsuki. I don't like cherry blossom-flavored foods, but it's a seasonal plate and it's April... so as expected, I thought I might not be able to eat the tokoroten (agar jelly) dessert... as it was full of cherry blossom aroma. I thought about finishing it all at once because leaving food is rude, but when I added all the kinako (roasted soybean flour) that came with it, I didn't mind it at all, so I was relieved to finish it. I wonder what's on the menu for May~~~
View on GoogleVisited for lunch this time. Lunch here is generally popular and full, so reservations are recommended. It's possible without a reservation, but you might not get in often. 3 types: Japanese-style risotto, Eisan plate, and Kaiseki. Kaiseki is by reservation only. Carefully prepared. You can taste seasonal ingredients little by little, and it's satisfying.
View on GoogleVisited for dinner for the first time in a while. At the counter seats with a live atmosphere. ① Saury (sanma) sashimi - Had it with saury liver soy sauce. First time for me. Quite delicious 😋 Matches well with dry Daishu sake. ② Tajima chicken liver sashimi - Very fresh, sweet, and super delicious 😋 ③ Oysters 🦪 - Put a little ponzu and took one bite, so impressed 🥹 Delicious ④ Grilled white eel (shirayaki) - Delicious 😋 Crispy and fragrant skin, strong umami, had it with plenty of wasabi. 🍶 Recommended sake are Seisui and Toichi 🙆 A satisfying dinner.
View on GoogleTuesday, May 28 Lunch here after accompanying my mother for a checkup Lunch operates until 1:30 PM, arrived at 1:13 PM. Tried my luck and they said it's okay if until 2 PM, so to the counter seat ♪ The owner holds a food coordinator qualification, and seems particular about [local production for local consumption] Takatsuki vegetables ❤️ Eisan Plate Set ¥1,760 x 2 Single-plate set (9 items) • Rice • Miso soup • Coffee • Dessert *You can add +550 yen for 3-kinds sashimi assortment or sweet potato bun. 9 items on one plate ❤️ Lots of vegetables used in the food, giving a healthy feel ■ New potatoes and asparagus with grain mustard dressing ■ Seared bonito tataki ■ Firefly squid, Japanese yam, snap pea ume-simmered ■ Boiled egg fava bean puree ■ Bamboo shoots and bok choy chili spring roll ■ Mochi pork grill spring cabbage vinegar-pickled ■ Rakkyo chawanmushi ■ Salad ■ New onion miso soup ■ Rice ■ Water eggplant and baby corn light pickle ■ Takatsuki specialty tokoroten pineapple and coconut milk syrup ■ Coffee Didn't have much time, so this time I quickly had the plate set without alcohol. The menu changes monthly, so if I have the chance, I'd like to visit again and slowly savor it with a beer ♪ The food was delicious and the store has a wonderful atmosphere, but the customer service and small talk among the chefs inside the counter bothered me a bit...
