I liked this place, but it's the kind of shop I can't really come to when my wife's with me, so I went when I was on my own. Apparently they raised prices, but it's still reasonable. I had the katsu curry; the katsu was delicious, and the curry was gentle and easy to eat. Next time maybe I'll try the beef curry and coffee set.

The curry's nothing special, but the owner is super humble and polite. I didn't order the katsu curry, but 800 yen for it is amazing. The regular curry being 600 yen surprised me too

For the first time in a while, I went to a long-established curry shop in Takatsuki. It's counter-only, but it's a place where you can relax and take your time. In these times of rising prices, being able to have lunch for a single coin is amazing. The flavor is gentle too—a curry you could eat every day. It was a hot summer day, but I enjoyed my meal comfortably.

Went to Takatsuki in Osaka on a small errand. For lunch, went to a shop right by JR Takatsuki Station. ベルナルド In the photo: curry lunch set + tonkatsu, 700+200 yen. A shop with outstanding value—beef curry for 500 yen. The slightly spiced roux is somewhere between mild and medium-hot. The tonkatsu is fried whole and cut into bite-size pieces for you. They bring out coffee around when you're finishing your meal. And it's hand drip (or at least it looked like it). The master runs the counter alone, with no wasted movement. Looks like prices are going up from April, but it can't be helped.
