Used in April 2025. A shop located about a 5-minute walk from Settsu-Tomida Station. Feeling Showa-era old, but in a somewhat warm interior, I ordered the daily set meal (790 yen including tax). The daytime service lunch is quite a good deal. This day was pork ginger stir-fry, and it came with various other small side dishes. The simmered dishes were a bit strong in flavor, but they were all delicious. Looking at the menu again, there was something called "Yakitori Set Meal". This is quite rare. Since it's properly charcoal-grilled, I was extremely curious. I hadn't used it much after looking at reviews, but the taste and cost performance of the service lunch are at a quite high level. I wish I had used it sooner. Will report on the "Yakitori Set Meal" soon! So, I went and ate the yakitori set meal! Some time passed after ordering. They must be grilling it carefully. And taking the first bite of the freshly made food! ..., for some reason it's cold. Strange. It's cold like it was left sitting for about 10 minutes after grilling. The meat is definitely fresh. However, this coldness, plus the small size. It's truly regrettable. So my rating remains unchanged. Went in July 2025. The daily set meal was hamburger steak. It's truly a homemade style burger with ketchup sauce. It's nice that there are many small side dishes, but I was told, "Your bill is 850 yen plus consumption tax making it 930 yen." Sure there was a notice about price hikes, but to charge consumption tax on top of that. It used to be tax-exclusive. Well, at this point, the cost performance is poor. Down-ranked to 2 stars.
View on GoogleA rare restaurant in Osaka that serves eel. It takes time because they prepare it after you order, but you can enjoy various dishes while waiting. The yakitori also uses morning-shipped chicken ordered from Wakayama, so you can enjoy sashimi as well.
View on GoogleStumbling into this restaurant Ajitomi, the owner's mother greeted us very cheerfully. At first I thought it might be hard to enter alone, but the nutritional balance is solid, the blue eel and yakitori are very delicious—truly Ajitomi (Taste-Rich) with a commitment to taste and grilling methods. Thank you very much for the delicious food every day. I am receiving happiness 😌
View on GoogleThe shop architecture is a traditional set meal shop, and a friendly mother greets you. I had the oyakodon, and between the chicken finished moist and tender in a slightly sweet broth, and the eggs brought together in just the right fluffy-creamy state, it was a careful dish that let you feel the shop's spirit. At lunchtime, this is around ¥680. A great deal.
View on GoogleThe elderly couple uses expensive blue eel, so the cost performance is high and it's delicious. But if I praise it too much and it gets crowded I'd hate that, so I'll leave it at this. Having eaten Kanto-style steamed eel, I used to feel skeptical about Kansai-style eel which feels firm, but this shop taught me that Kansai-style eel is also delicious. 2 draft beers, 3 cold sakes, unaju, and shirayaki came out to a prosperous 8,888 yen, I was extremely satisfied.
