Went in before 1 p.m. on a weekday, 1 customer already there It's a cozy little shop with 3 counter seats and 2 tables (4 people each) I ordered the mixed modan-yaki (¥900) In business for 45 years, run single-handedly by a woman (attached to her home). Her grilling is neat too — is ketchup the secret ingredient in the yakisoba of the modan-yaki? The mayo and mustard at the end make a nice accent I wanted to have rice, but there was nothing like that on the menu. Would be perfect if they had set meals While I was there, there were about 2 phone calls checking whether the shop was open. Lots of regulars — an okonomiyaki shop that has lasted a long time
View on GoogleThe sauce was exactly my favorite kind of taste. The modan-yaki was delicious! An old Showa-era shop. The worn-in feel is nostalgic and relaxing. So glad it has survived. The best modan-yaki for just 600 yen — I'll go eat it again. My biggest discovery in a long time.

View on GoogleA fairly thick Osaka-yaki. A Showa-retro okonomiyaki shop. It sits alone in a residential area so it's hard to find, but it's okonomiyaki right down the middle, a pretty generous portion too, and I enjoyed it very much. I hope places like this keep going forever.
