It is said to be rice cooked with local Tomida sake and a secret broth. Wanting to try this at least once, I opened the door to the shop. Only a long, narrow counter came into view, but it looks like there are table seating rooms further in the back. I sat at the counter, and since it was getting a bit chilly, I ordered the egg-dropped udon with the Tomida Meshi set. It came with delicious-looking egg-dropped udon, Tomida Meshi, and 3 side dishes. All the side dishes were delicious and went very well with the rice. And the "Tomida Meshi" The rice has a solid umami flavor, making me keep moving my chopsticks just with the rice. The udon broth also had a strong dashi flavor, making it very delicious. They recommended, "Next time, please try the daily Matsukado lunch." Since there are many other menus besides that, I think it would suit anyone. I'd love to go eat "Tomida Meshi" again. I was brought here by a friend's introduction. When you enter the shop, it looks like just long narrow counter seats, but there are about 3 table seating areas in the back, so it seems large groups can go too. Today's lunch was "Beef Egg Drop", but besides the main dish, it came with 5 carefully prepared side dishes + miso soup + coffee for 880 yen! Even though it's not a flashy shop, the fact that the seats are completely full of housewives, young people, and salarymen made me realize people want to come back to eat this kind gentle mom's cooking again.
