As a steak restaurant, we serve a variety of high-quality steaks such as sirloin, fillet, and misuji. Alongside steak and hamburg dishes such as our signature "Aged Sirloin Steak" and the Volks-tradition "Volks Hamburg," our salad bar—introduced in 1972 as the first among Japanese restaurant chains—freshly baked bread made in-store from fermentation to baking, and our soup bar where you can enjoy corn potage are also widely loved by our customers. At lunchtime, we offer menus that include the "Salad Bar," "Soup Bar," and "Freshly Baked Bread," so you can enjoy everything Volks has to offer at a great value. With family or friends…

I visited with my family around 8:50 PM 👨‍👩‍👦 The inside of the restaurant is large with plenty of seats, but because it was a weekday, it was quite empty, making both the salad bar and drink bar easy to use without stress. Therefore, the interior was also very quiet. I ordered the misuji cut steak and hamburger set. While I was eating the salad bar and drinks, the ordered food arrived, so the waiting time didn't bother me at all. Although the misuji cut steak was quite chewy, it wasn't oily or hard to chew and was delicious. The hamburger had a pocket in the middle to hold the meat juices, and the moment I cut it, the juices overflowed. This was also not oily and was a delicious hamburger. While the main dishes are delicious, the salad bar and bread bar are definitely attractive. The salad bar offers coffee jelly and fruits in addition to salad, which usually comes with ordering a main dish, and that is also great. The price per person is a bit high, but there is no doubt you can go home satisfied. 😊

I visited Volks, located on the southbound side of National Route 26, on a weekday around 3 PM. There were few customers, and I was able to eat slowly and calmly. I ordered the daily lunch special which includes a soup bar, salad bar, and all-you-can-eat freshly baked bread. The salad bar has 6 types of dressing, and the soup bar has 3 types, which is more luxurious than other family restaurants. There are also 7 types of bread available for all-you-can-eat. It's a bit pricey (1848 yen), but the contents are substantial. Thank you for the meal!

I went on Sunday at 5 PM. Since I didn't know how crowded it would be, I made a reservation, but until the time I left, it seemed like customers without reservations could be seated immediately. Is it usually like this even without a reservation? As a customer, it's comfortable! It felt like there were empty seats, so it was a quiet and spacious space. The salad bar and other areas were also easy to access. I ordered the thick-cut aged sirloin steak. I topped it with Maitre d' hotel butter. I chose medium rare for the steak's doneness, and it was a perfect doneness, the meat was tender and very delicious. It's nice that there is jelly and pudding at the salad bar. My child was happy eating them.

Used during weekday lunch time. I went with a reservation, but I could have entered without one. There were various choices like the grand menu, daily menu, lunch menu, kids menu, etc., but I chose from the lunch menu (+ salad bar set). Salad bar, soup bar, and bread were also available, and while all of them require a fee, they are well-stocked. The staff were very kind. I don't know how it is after evening when there are more part-time workers.

First time using it. When entering, I was asked, "Is this your first time?" and since I said it was my first visit, I received an explanation, but the explanation was far too insufficient. I thought the plates for the salad bar would be brought to the table by the waiter, so I waited for a while. However, since they never came, when I went to the salad bar myself, the plates had been placed there from the beginning. Also, since salad, bread, and soup were lined up at the salad bar corner, it was hard to understand the set contents for a first-time user, and I took them thinking they were all included. When I returned to the seat, the staff flatly told me, "Bread and soup are extra charges. I'll add them." I felt very disappointed that such a response was given despite making a mistake due to lack of explanation. In the end, I didn't eat the bread or soup, but I was charged for them. The hamburger ordered as the main dish was not very hot despite being served on an iron plate, and the taste gave the impression of being quite ordinary. I think if they guide new customers a bit more clearly and politely, similar misunderstandings can be prevented. This time, I was unsatisfied with both customer service and food, and there will be no revisit.
