It’s my first time eating here. Went here for early dinner at 5:30 PM. They keep the interior authentic retro Japanese, giving the vibes of dining in the showa era of Japan. I had a tendon (Tempura Donburi / rice bowl) + set with Mini udon. The tempura ricebowl was 780¥ + additional 100¥ to get udon set. It’s quite affordable! The udon broth was refined and delicious. I personally like it. Overall it was nice, the atmosphere is calm, the owner is a grandpa who seemed to have been running the family business for years. I hope there are more customers come and support this local shop. I’ll go back next time to try other menu as well. Please support this local business, guys. 😊 FYI, they only accept cash payment, so please be prepared. 😉

I went after lunch time, so it's not crowded. Udon taste very good and fresh. Tempura also tasty. The shop feels old, but it has calm atmosphere.

Compared to Senri-Chuo or the new Minoh-Kayano station, Kita-Senri Dios feels a little deserted. Amidst that, with an even more plain storefront, I didn't know there was an udon shop here. Actually, this time too, Saizeriya was full and I accidentally found this shop in front of it and went in. At the entrance, they displayed a flour bag saying: Using flour exclusively for Sanuki udon! Unlike the small-frontage storefront, the inside is unexpectedly spacious, but not enough space to relax, giving off a Showa-era atmosphere. Since I was visiting alone, I went to the counter seat. I ordered Tanin-don (630 yen) and for an extra 100 yen it comes with a mini udon, or for an extra 150 yen a regular-sized udon, so thinking if the difference is 50 yen I might as well order the regular-sized udon. Well, first of all, the thick udon made with flour exclusively for Sanuki udon is, huh?! Unlike my expectation of Sanuki udon, it lacks chewiness, though of course it's not as bad as supermarket bag udon. But the soup stock was very refined and delicious, though the noodles lost to the soup stock. The Tanin-don also has a refined taste and is normally delicious, though not super amazing. However, amidst the recent abnormal surge in food prices, 780 yen for a Tanin-don and a single serving of udon at this level is cheap. In the era where even Hankyu's standing-eat Soba costs 700 to 800 yen if you splurge a little. However, there was no space for families to enjoy their food at leisure; the space between seats and chairs was cramped and it wasn't an atmosphere to relax. I couldn't find the elderly female staff with bad customer service mentioned in other reviews, and the customer service was quite normal. Payment cannot be made with PayPay and cash only also represents the Showa-ness of this shop. Thank you for the meal.

Visited with family at night in August 2025. It didn't feel like it would definitely be empty at night, and I couldn't go easily, but finally the timing aligned and I was able to go. It seems parking tickets are free for 1 hour if you eat for 2,000 yen or more. The phone number listed was not in use. So phone inquiries are not possible. The food was normally delicious. Above all, it was cheap. It was around 3,000 yen for 4 people, I think. The portion is a little lacking for adults, so the large serving is recommended.

I've been curious about this place for a while, but the first half ends at 2 PM and the second half starts at 5 PM, so it never matched my break time and I never got to go. This time I finally visited and ordered the rice bowl and udon set, and first of all, the aroma of the soup stock is unbelievably good! The udon is also chewy and filling, and the rice bowl has a refined preparation where the soup stock and egg intertwine. Also what surprised me is the price. The set udon can be had as a regular-sized kake udon for 150 yen. I'll consider it lucky if they are open in the future, I will definitely visit!
