Amazing tempura! The big shrimp is a must!
View on GoogleVisited for lunch on a weekday️ It was bustling, with customers coming in nonstop. I ordered the seasonal recommendation, the "Haru no Teishoku" (spring set meal). It included ・Head-on flower shrimp ・Scale-on white tilefish ・Egg ・Sake lees–marinated mackerel ・Yuba roll with threadfin bream and bamboo shoot shinjo ・2 vegetables: bamboo shoots and a large mushroom ・Kakiage of sakura shrimp and shungiku Starting with the head-on flower shrimp, the style is that freshly fried tempura is served one at a time. Both salt and tentsuyu are provided for the tempura, and they also guide you on how to eat each ingredient. Things that are already seasoned, like the simmered bamboo shoots, are eaten as is. The signature egg tempura is placed on rice and topped with sauce, eaten like tamago kake gohan—a fun way to eat it, and very delicious. It was a lineup that let you enjoy spring ingredients. I also ordered the asparagus from Asupara Ouji (2L size) à la carte. A thick, impressive asparagus spear was served whole as tempura—filling, with a noticeable sweetness, a memorable dish. You can leisurely enjoy freshly fried tempura, with rice and miso soup. The yuzu daikon on the table is free to take as much as you like, so it works as a palate cleanser Rice refills are available too, so it's a satisfying lunch. The owner, even while constantly frying tempura, kept a close eye on everything around and gave precise instructions for rice refills and water top-ups— impressive. A place where you can casually enjoy seasonal tempura.
View on GoogleI've had dinner here several times, including takeout. The tempura is light and very delicious. The original soft drinks were tasty too. The owner is super friendly and brings out the tempura freshly fried. I always make a reservation before each visit. If you're bringing a baby, you can't bring a stroller in, but you can eat together. I recommend getting the tempura set + the white rice and miso soup set. It also comes with egg tempura, which is really delicious. The pork and beef tempura are very tasty. There are counter seats + table seats.
View on GoogleUntil now I'd only used takeout. The tempura is delicious even after time has passed by the time I get home, but this time I really wanted it freshly fried, so I ate in. The way the owner reads customers' feelings and pays attention to them is wonderful, despite looking quite young. The burn scars from oil splatter on the arms—perhaps proof of sincerely committing to serving delicious tempura to customers— really came through to all my senses. Thank you for being in my neighborhood
View on GoogleWe went for dinner with a reservation. There was 1 group at the counter and 1 at a table, but it didn't feel very crowded. We ordered the early summer course, the shrimp & tori-ten course, and the pork fillet with three kinds of tori-ten course. The food came out quickly and was really delicious. For each item, they tell you whether to eat it with rock salt or tentsuyu. Everything was delicious, but the Yukimi Daifuku we had at the end was truly delicious. The yuzu daikon pickles at each seat are also perfect as a palate cleanser. I highly recommend it and want to go again.
