Lunch where you can eat brown rice. I had the karaage which was properly prepped and seasoned, and fried after ordering. I felt that the food was prepared with care. Prices are reasonable. Cash only.
View on GoogleIn a word, it's a restaurant where you can get great value and healthy home-style cooking!! First, in this day and age where lunch over 1,000 yen has become common, I think there are extremely few restaurants where you can eat lunch with coffee as shown in this photo for 700 yen. In that sense, the cost performance is amazing. Second, the food feels healthy. You can choose from three types of rice: white rice, brown rice, and enzyme rice. Also, the amount of vegetables in the miso soup is quite large and low in salt. Small side dishes centering on vegetables and beans are also set, giving a sense of health-consciousness. The side dishes themselves are not super elaborate dishes made by pros, but feel close to home-cooked meals made by mom, but considering the price, I think it's amazing in this day and age. At lunchtime, there are quite a lot of customers, and if it were near my office, it would likely be a restaurant I'd use for lunch quite frequently. Being a Suita Zero-Food-Waste Movement supporting store, the concept where leftover food can be taken home is also eco-friendly and good.
View on GoogleRecently, I've been eating the ramen I used to love when I was young for lunch often, and many ramen shops have evolved, so I feel a high level of quality, but honestly, since I'm no longer young and health consciousness kicks in, I honestly want to keep ramen to about twice a week. When that happens, fish-based or meat-based dishes are fine, but trying to get as many vegetables as possible... makes me want to go to diners or set meal restaurants. I also searched for this restaurant on Google maps and arrived guided by navigation. However, however... Both the store name and the atmosphere are mediocre, and from my experience, a restaurant like this is at best home-cooking level. If worse, I judge it to be at the level made by a young housewife who is bad at cooking. Avoiding fried foods, I ordered the pork ginger stir-fry set meal which looked somehow eatable even if not delicious. It was brought in about 10 minutes, but it was still quite different from the image. When we chefs make it, generally onions or stir-fried vegetables are placed underneath, and thinly sliced pork loin soaked in ginger-flavored sauce is quickly seared and lined up on top of the vegetables. Raw vegetables probably aren't particularly necessary. Shredded cabbage is amateur-cut, three times thicker than the thickness I cut. Without even mayonnaise, let alone dressing, I left it without eating. The miso soup also has a bland taste like some grandmother made it, without any dashi aroma or umami. Yoshinoya is still better. In conclusion, it's not at the level where you can receive money from customers. A store sustained by amateurs who only know home cooking, older elderly people, and the general public with untrained palates who give high reviews. At this level, the food I made when I was in high school is far superior. However, there are many other shops at this level, and not limited to diners, especially common in privately managed town Chinese restaurants. Perhaps this shop needs at least one professional-level chef who can be entrusted with cooking.
View on GoogleHad the daily set meal (600 yen). Today's daily set is hoki fish and vegetable set. You can choose white rice, brown rice, or enzyme brown rice, so I chose enzyme brown rice. By the way, service lunch and daily lunch have free large rice portions (this time regular portion). It's truly home-style cooking. When you return to the countryside after a long time, mother's Japanese dishes are lined up in variety. It's a comforting and soothing taste. For middle-aged people on a diet, the calories are also very appreciated. If you continue to eat such a balanced meal, you can spend healthy days. And mother's set meal is also easy on the wallet (laughs). Of course, there are also fried items loved by young people. Corona countermeasures included alcohol disinfection. There seem to be many bento box orders as well, and upon entering the shop (around 14:30), containers were lined up in a row.
View on GoogleIt's a diner located inside Suita Asahi Shopping Street. There is no parking lot. There is a coin parking lot nearby. The daily special for 600 yen that day was chicken katsu set, but there is plenty of chicken, and all side dishes are perfectly delicious. Amazing value for money that you wouldn't expect for 600 yen. It's also good that you can choose rice from 3 types including brown rice. I was very satisfied. Recommended. Open from 11.
