I visited 「定食の店 お多福」 near Toyotsu Station on the Hankyu Senri Line! After passing through the noren, you're greeted by a nostalgic, homey, relaxing space. This time I ordered the buta kimchi set. The first thing that surprised me when it arrived was the portion! The buta kimchi was piled almost overflowing from the plate, with a perfect balance of savory meat and the mildly spicy kimchi seasoning—a flavor that really makes you keep eating rice. It also came with shredded cabbage, a small side dish, and miso soup, leaving me full and very satisfied. The people at the shop have a warm manner too, making it as comfortable as returning to my family home. If you're near Toyotsu Station thinking, “I want to fill up on a delicious set meal!”, this is an excellent place I'd definitely recommend. When I'm nearby again, I'd love to try the other set meals too. Thanks for the meal!
View on GoogleI went to Toyotsu for work, looked for somewhere to have lunch, and visited for the first time. Since they open at 12:00, I looked at the menu board out front and was surprised by how reasonable the prices were🫢 I ordered the pork shogayaki set. I was surprised by the portion and the thickness of the meat‼️ The price is low, and I have no complaints about the quantity or quality. It's run by a married couple, and I'll definitely stop by to eat again.
View on GoogleA very homey set-meal restaurant. This time I had the shogayaki set (750円), said to be the No.1 favorite, and it tasted like Mom's cooking! (Though it's cooked by the older man who's the manager?…) However, it wasn't exceptionally delicious! The taste matched the price. (Maybe the shogayaki my wife makes at home is better?) The shop is conveniently located near the station, but it's often closed, making it hard to get a chance to eat there. If you're planning to visit, I recommend checking the opening days and hours in advance.
View on GoogleI came in at half past 13 on a weekday. I ordered the chicken katsu set for 780円, which I'd never seen here before. Perhaps they mix egg into the batter, because the coating was sweet and delicious. It was similar to Tonmasa in Yamatokoriyama. The portion was large too, and I got full. It's a shame the sauce was commercially made, but it's not a tonkatsu shop, so perhaps I shouldn't expect that much. If this becomes a regular menu item, I think I'll become a regular customer.
View on GoogleI ordered the buta kimchi set, but the miso soup was extremely watery, even microwaved rice would have been better, and the buta kimchi had a raw, unpleasant smell. Frankly, I'd have been better off making it myself. I don't want to say this, but it's been a long time since I thought something tasted seriously bad. Sorry, but I won't be going back. I want my money back
