When passing through Esaka at the end of March, I noticed a new chanpon shop had opened before I knew it, so I visited for the first time in May when I had business in Esaka 💨 The previous shop was also a chanpon shop, so the interior is almost completely reused as-is The menu has both tablets and regular menu books, and when I looked, there were a ton of varieties ‼️ After agonizing over it for a long time, I ordered the shop's recommendation: 'Chanmen Gyoza Set' 😁 I also wanted to eat fried chicken, so I ordered the 'Fried Chicken 3-Piece Set (with sauce)' too lol The chanpon that came out was packed with vegetables and delicious ♪ Just as written in the restaurant's commitment, because it uses many kinds of vegetables and domestic cabbage, you can feel the sweetness 😋 Both the soup and noodles seem to be manufactured in-house, showing some dedication 😁 The gyoza is ordinary, but isn't the fried chicken sauce a little too thick? When I touched the container to put spicy chili oil on the gyoza, it was sticky. I wish they would stop leaving it sticky like this when it's still a new shop. Even though I thought it was delicious chanpon, it's disappointing... ⤵️ Being slightly more expensive than the previous chanpon shop makes sense since it's more delicious lol
View on GoogleThe price was cheap, but the deliciousness of the taste didn't surpass the previous Jottetsu. The soup lacked richness, and whether the quality dropped or not, I started getting tired of it halfway through eating. Delicious is delicious, and there's a variety of menu items, so I'd like to go back to eat something else like set meals.
View on GoogleVisiting on 2026/4/2 ♪ It was super crowded when it opened on 3/25, so I gave up! Visiting for a revenge visit. It's around 12:30 and there is a line, quite popular. I was 10th in line but got seated in about 10 minutes, so turnover seems good. Thinking it would take time to order given the number of customers, the food was served in about 5 minutes! That's fast. I ordered the vegetable-packed chanmen and it sure is packed with veggies w Adding ultra-spicy chili oil gives a tingling spice that feels great. The noodles are smooth and different from chanpon noodles! Overall it's delicious, plus chanmen is cheap at 690 yen, a recommended and delicious shop. Also, the menu is versatile with set meals and pan-fried noodles, so you probably won't get tired of visiting. I'll visit again. Thank you for the meal. 2027/7/8 Still good as ever 😋 Great value and recommended 🙆
View on GoogleThe previous Jottetsu also had a cozy interior, but it has been renovated and made bright and clean like a family restaurant. Ordered double Nagasaki chanmen noodles via the touch panel. It was an easy-to-eat flavor with a large volume. For changing flavors, I could order garlic, toasted sesame seeds, vinegar, etc., via the touch panel, and enjoyed customizing it myself. Indeed, I felt it was a bit disappointing that the richness and garlic flavor decreased compared to the Jottetsu era, but I also felt it shifted more towards families, such as being able to request a paper apron for free or making the taste milder.
View on GoogleWent in June 2026. A shop about a 10-minute walk from Esaka Station. It used to be a chanpon shop called 'Jottetsu'. 'Chanmen' apparently means the best of both worlds between chanpon and ramen, so the direction was similar to the previous shop. The system is post-payment, where you first take a seat and order via a touch panel. The inside of the store was still new, neat, and clean. I went with the 'Nagasaki Chanmen and Gyoza Set (1260 yen)'. The ramen has plenty of vegetables. It's crisp and has a chewing satisfaction like Jiro-style. However, since it's chanpon, the soup has a gentle feel. The gyoza was properly delicious too. This also had a veggie feel, giving the impression of overlapping with the vegetable-packed ramen. Maybe I didn't need to go out of my way to get the set. The ramen alone gives full satisfaction. Many reviews compare it with Jottetsu, but from a light user's perspective, there isn't such a big difference, and the service, taste, and especially everything else had no problems.
