A ramen shop in one street around a five to ten minute walk from the Esaka station. Their best seller is the black soy sauce ramen. The noodle is a bit hard in opinion, should have I opted for the thin noodles instead so I could have a softer noodle texture? Other than that the broth, char siu and the menma are very good. I also ordered gyoza but it was nothing to write home about.

View on Google[Ten years ago, ordinarily salty black soy sauce] "Kinkyuemon" (Esaka) I had business in Esaka and was on my way back. A few years ago, I found the Esaka branch of Kinkyuemon, which was gaining momentum in Osaka, and entered out of a sense of nostalgia. I ordered the basic Black Soy Sauce Ramen (960 yen). The menu states that seafood is not used, but the rising aroma has a nuance reminiscent of squid innards. I'm a bit bothered by the gap between the description and reality. Some reviews comment that "unlike the pitch-black soup, it's not very salty," but honestly, it's ordinarily salty. It's a soy sauce flavor focused on impact, not the type described as gentle or smooth. When talking about the history of this place, "Toyama Black" is an indispensable presence. Toyama Black became known nationwide, and following that lead, there was a trend where it was labeled "Osaka Black" and became a temporary boom. In reality, it feels closer to saying that this shop itself created the boom and drew attention. So looking back at that time, the impression remains that the symbol "Black" came first, with a strong aspect of visual impact. Honestly, I don't remember it being decisively innovative in terms of content. I need to preface this by saying I apologize if my understanding is wrong. Furthermore, considering the character of Osaka, for this kind of dark soy sauce ramen, there is already the long-standing lineage of Takaida ramen. Ideologically, Kinkyuemon's black soy sauce feels closer to the Takaida style rather than a direct descendant of Toyama Black. The noodles are medium-thick with a good boiling firmness. They are chewy and have a presence that doesn't get overwhelmed by the soup. All in all, a bowl that makes you feel "ten years ago" more than just the taste. Because I knew their former momentum, nostalgia comes first. Seeing the name after a long time, I tried it with a bit of nostalgia-tinted enhancement. ...
View on GoogleDuring my business trip to Osaka, I visited for the first time in several years. I arrived past 21:00, and there were several customers at the counter. Since it had been a while, I struggled with the menu, but first ordered the **Osaka Black (thick noodles) + seasoned egg (¥1,080). Visually it's a pitch-black, dark soy sauce ramen, but rather than being salty, it had a sharp flavor, which I personally liked very much. Unable to resist my appetite, I also added the Red Soy Sauce Ramen (thin noodles, ¥930) and Pork Bowl (small, ¥430). The red soy sauce ramen is a blend of dark and light soy sauce, well-balanced and also delicious. The pork bowl featured melt-in-your-mouth chashu paired perfectly with kimchi and green onions, and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was good. With the satisfaction of finally eating it after several years, my rating is 5 stars. All the ramen are delicious, and it's a shop I personally recommend. I don't know if it will suit everyone's taste, but it's a place I want you to try at least once.
