A really nice kissaten (coffee shop). I was surprised by how spacious it was inside. The Western-style interior is very nice too. I don't think you could create this atmosphere if you built it today. Prices are ◎ too It seemed to be loved by the locals. There are hardly any coffee shops on this side of the tracks, so I think it's a very valuable place.

A Showa-retro coffee shop☕️ I looked at the food samples out front (even those feel retro lol) and ordered omurice. The interior was more spacious than I expected, and it looks like a nice place to relax over afternoon tea too. The omurice was pretty tasty. That said, it isn't the trendy kind with a fluffy omelet sliced open on top of the rice to expose the sloppy insides… It's chicken rice neatly wrapped in a thin layer of egg cooked in a frying pan. Even that thin egg had a subtle savory flavor, probably from salted butter, which was lovely. Omurice lovers, give it a try at least once.

The coffee tastes great, of course, but the atmosphere is lovely too, and it's a relaxing space. The weekday-only daily set meal (750円) is healthy yet filling, and it's one of my favorite menu items.

A coffee shop where you can unwind and relax. Smoking is allowed, so it's a place of respite for smokers. (I don't smoke myself…)

I spotted a parfait on the menu in the reviews, got curious, and went in. The chocolate parfait came in a large glass, with these layers from the top: banana apple a fairly large scoop of vanilla ice cream canned mandarin oranges and pineapple cornflakes a fairly large scoop of vanilla ice cream. You often hear that cornflakes in parfaits are just there to bulk them up, but there was vanilla ice cream hidden at the very bottom, making it really substantial. And all that for 500円. Amazing. The shop also had a nice, relaxing atmosphere, so next time I'd like to order coffee and unwind.
