Small and cozy. The chef's energy makes the place very welcoming. Food portions are generous, though there might be a little too much sauce in the ten-don. Very tasty and the tempura doesn't feel overly oily.
View on GoogleI visited on a weekday morning. The ticket vending machine accepts cash only. Two bowls used by the previous customer were left uncleaned on top of the counter. The seats of all chairs are repaired with duct tape. Broth is warmed in a Yukihira pan after the order is placed. Kake udon is topped with plenty of chopped green onions. The broth is light, and the udon lacks chewiness and is mushy. The finished bowls on the counter were left there the whole time. There won't be a next time.

Order this menu at the ticket machine and enjoy it at the counter seats. ★ Tempura Udon 510 yen ◎ Great value on par with a standing noodle shop The interior has counter seats only, and you can wait while watching the cooking process. Located outside the ticket gates of JR Suita Station, it has a standing-shop feel, but there are chairs at the counter so you can relax and enjoy. This is my first visit in about 10 years, and whatever issues I felt with the service back then are completely gone. The owner's attentiveness is also felt, and I was able to eat without any unpleasant feelings. Served in a bowl so large it feels like a large portion, with the joy of plenty of green onions. The soup is based on Kansai-style white dashi, and as shown in the photo, it is so hot that it's hard to even take a picture. The udon is chewy without being firm, and the tempura contains shrimp and nori seaweed. The batter feels a bit thick, but since the soup is piping hot, it works well enough. Above all, I was happy with the price for this tempura udon, and left the shop with a warmed body. Thank you for the meal.

View on GoogleAn udon shop located on the first floor of the JR Suita Station central exit. A small shop with only a counter. Purchase meal tickets at the entrance. I ordered the onigiri kitsune udon set. The shop's special onigiri was yukari onigiri. The kitsune is thin, but the aburaage is large. The broth is light and the udon is soft. The only good thing was that there were plenty of green onions. I was a bit concerned about hygiene. In terms of pricing as well, I'd rather go to other surrounding shops.
