The parking lot and the fishing office are hard to find on your first visit, but the office staff (seemingly a local grandpa?) treated me well and was polite. I went right in the middle of Golden Week. When I got to the office a little after 9, it was full, as expected. Since I was on my own, I sat in my own chair on the river embankment and waited for a spot to open up. This time I wanted to zone out and enjoy nature more than fish, so being able to focus on reading with a coffee in hand actually turned out well. Still, I couldn't fish, so minus 1 star. Looks like it's better to make a reservation.
View on GoogleIt was a nice place. But maybe it was a bad day or a bad time, I didn't catch much~ I'll be back for revenge!
View on GoogleI usually do sea fishing, but that day the wind was crazy strong, so I gave up on the sea and went to a mountain stream! As everyone has written, it's far from the parking lot, so keep your gear to a minimum. We rented rods and bought the rigs and bait on site. It was the cold month of January, and a weekday too, so we were the only customers and had the place to ourselves. If you keep fishing with the same bait, the fish get wary and stop biting, so we rotated between ikura, grape worms, and earthworms. Catching every fish they released was impossible, but the two of us caught over 20. We were allowed to move to sections other than the one stocked for us, but there were no leftover fish at all in the other sections, so we caught nothing there. The fishing co-op folks were really kind, helped us out with absolutely everything, and threw in all kinds of extras. It was the best 👍 We'll be back!
View on GoogleOn a weekday during spring break, there were only a few people. It was just me and my kid, both pretty much amateurs, and the adult plan of 20 rainbow trout was plenty. Partway through they stopped biting, and my son got bored and didn't know what to do with himself. At first we couldn't catch anything, and the older guy who manages the place gave us some amago before they were released. The management office was a long way from the parking lot and hard to find. The barbecue area was free to use, and the fish we caught were delicious grilled with salt.
View on GoogleI used this place before. The staff member was a very pleasant person too. I was still bad at fishing back then, so I didn't catch much, but I had a lot of fun fishing.
