2023/10/17 Katsudon 750 yen The cutlet is surprisingly tiny. It doesn't have much flavor, so it's not bad. Naturally, it's not delicious either. I expected a starchy katsudon, but it was disappointing. Smoking is allowed, so it might be a bit meh. Regulars drinking alcohol since noon might make it a bit meh. As a town chuka, it would be easier to visit if it were a bit cheaper.

Just what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant! The katsudon I ordered was in a starchy sauce style 🤤 Irresistible, right? 🙌 The restaurant only has counter seating. The other customers seemed like regulars, drinking alcohol in broad daylight. There's no doubt that Chinese food and alcohol go great together, but it was unfortunate that a regular middle-aged woman was extremely loud. The taste is fine, so it just depends on whether or not you can accept the clientele.

The quintessential town chuka. L-shaped counter with about 12-13 seats. Visited for lunch and it was almost full. Ordered mapo rice bowl and gyoza. Serving speed, taste, atmosphere, everything was to my liking.

First time visit. Chose mapo rice bowl and fried pork. The fried pork feels a bit small. The mapo's spiciness was mild, but it was delicious. What should I eat next time, I wonder.

Closed on Wednesdays ~ Lured by a nice smell, I peeked in and saw no customers? Thinking it was a mistake ~ I asked a neighbor, and they said, "That place is insanely delicious!" so I've been a repeat customer since. There are actually many menu items I'd love to drink beer with.
