Machichuka (town Chinese restaurant) 🇨🇳 Went to Tenshin in Shijonawate, Osaka 😋💕 A hidden-gem town Chinese restaurant that isn't very well known even on social media 😋🇨🇳 It's super delicious yet way too cost-effective, which is amazing 🥺💕 I seriously want to keep this place a secret ㊙️ Kobuta's recommendations: ❤️ Gyoza 300 yen x 2 So small and thin-skinned that they are insanely delicious and you can eat as many as you want, I love them 😋🥟 ❤️ Karaage Set 700 yen This price is amazing ❣️ Juicy, large pieces of fried chicken with neatly chopped vegetable salad 🥗 Comes with rice, soup, and a 3-item plate ✨ I can feel the love just from having a 3-item plate included 🥺💕 Kobuta's recommendations: ❤️ Sweet and Sour Pork Set 850 yen Kobuta's preferred taste, and the meat is tender and delicious 😋💕 Eating it with rice is max happiness 😋🤣 Comes with rice, soup, and a 3-item plate ✨ Every single dish is prepared with care and is super delicious 😋💕 Having onion chips and garlic chips placed on the table is also wonderful 🥺🧅🧄 The ramen and tenshindon of the ramen set at the next table looked so delicious that next time I definitely want to order them and put lots of garlic chips in the ramen 😂🤣🍜 Just one thing though ☝️ The owner is running it alone, so the food comes out slowly, so try visiting leisurely when you have time 😁👍 Will go again ~ ❤️
View on GoogleVisited around 12:30 on Friday, March 13, 2026. There were a few customers scattered around. There is (probably) no parking lot, so I parked at a nearby drugstore and headed over on foot. As an old-school town Chinese restaurant run by a local old man, my excitement skyrocketed personally. It's my absolute favorite type of place. After much hesitation, I went with the half-chahan set. In this day and age of soaring prices, having it offered at this price is extremely helpful. As for the ramen, it was a totally simple Chuka soba, and the fried rice was the same, yet it was ridiculously delicious. The fried rice was especially good. I wonder if the ramen has a few more toppings if ordered by itself? It has such great value that my companion and I were talking about how if a place like this was near our company, we'd go 5 days a week.
View on GoogleFirst time visiting. The lunch menu is a great deal! You can be fully satisfied for under 1000 yen. I chose the sweet and sour pork set meal, and it was very delicious. Next time, I want to eat the lunch set with ramen and tenshindon! After that, I tried the ramen and mapo don set! The soy sauce ramen is super recommended!!
View on GoogleWhen I used to commute to a workplace nearby in the past, I came here several times and thought it had a somewhat 'nostalgic taste'. Some time has passed since my workplace changed, but when I moved to the neighborhood and visited after a long time, it was indeed a nostalgic taste, plus delicious, and furthermore cheap! I always eat the sweet and sour pork set meal, but the amount of meat is extraordinarily huge! Since the sweet and sour pork is delicious, if I order the chop suey (happosai) it's delicious too, and the chili shrimp has generous amounts of plump shrimp. Whenever I don't feel like cooking rice, I always decide on Tenshin.
View on GoogleWanting to eat town Chinese food, I looked for a place around Neyagawa City and found this. After thinking about going several times, on my 3rd try, I managed to enter the store just before 13:00. There were 2 preceding customers sitting at the counter with one seat left empty between them, and since it seemed they had already finished ordering, I initially felt the fried rice looked delicious, but after looking at the lunch menu, I ordered the 'Yakisoba Set Meal' for 650 yen. As for this shop, I had checked in advance that Inada-shi of the comedy duo Einstein used to work part-time here when he was a student, so the thought that it might bring a rise in luck was perhaps one of the factors that led me out on my town Chinese tour巡ing. While waiting in the shop after placing my order, I was inwardly struck with surprise, thinking, 'Eek, at this timing?!', when Yahoo News on my smartphone reported follow-up news about how Inada-shi, who formerly worked here, had his account hacked!! The proprietorship of the owner, who single-handedly finishes cooking for the preceding customers and handles the service, seemed to permeate the interior shopfront, and oh yeah, I remembered, this place is similar in mood to that shop near the border of Yokohama City and Kamakura City called 'Debu Soba', where Kiyoshi Atsumi and others frequently visited during breaks in filming for the 'Otoko wa Tsurai yo' series just as it was closing down. There must have been a filming studio nearby back then. At the time of my visit, that studio was gone, and I had been standing in line mixed with customers mourning the shop's closure. While I was pouring water into a glass cup for myself beside the solo-working owner, the owner handed me an oshibori (wet towel) first. While thinking about various things, such as whether celebrities' personal information management is as lax as ordinary people's caution levels, without any call of 'Sorry to keep you waiting', first the appetizer 3-dish plate along with almost plain white rice and miso soup were served, and the yakisoba looked visually chewy and thick and exceptionally delicious. I plan to order fried rice next time.
