A pleasant izakaya with motsunabe so delicious you'll drink every last drop of the broth" An izakaya famous for its motsunabe that I found while walking from Senrioka Station, shoulders hunched against the cold. Though close to the station, the place stands along the railway tracks, its lights faint, yet radiating a cozy warmth. The interior is simple but has a homey atmosphere, comfortable even on your own. The menu lists recommendations using fresh motsu and seasonal vegetables, and I could enjoy combinations to my liking. With every bite of the motsunabe I ordered, deep richness and umami filled my mouth, and I was moved by the flavor. The motsu, the star, was carefully prepped, with no odor and not heavy at all. The carefully made broth, likely blended to match the motsu, is probably one of the shop's points of pride. I also had the noodles to finish and drank up all the broth. On top of that, the staff's warm smiles and thoughtfulness made for a pleasant time—a place that warms both body and soul, and I'm sure I'll be visiting many times this winter.
View on GoogleThe signature dish is wagyu motsunabe (1 serving OK), but you can also enjoy teppanyaki and yaki udon. And then there's the weekly-changing curry rice on Fridays. When they first opened, there weren't many places in Senrioka serving curry rice, so I look forward to it every week. Occasionally there's a week when it's booked out, but it's almost every week, so 5 stars isn't enough for how much I've relied on them!

View on GoogleNice atmosphere and delicious. The motsu in the motsunabe was tender, which was great. Maybe it was wagyu?
View on GoogleThe creative ajillo came in many varieties and was very delicious. The atmosphere was cozy, so we could enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace.
