Update: if you like meat and strong flavors go with the W double Chashu men ramen! One of the best I have ever had while in Japan! Seriously amazing!!! Really good ramen place! Really tasty and not too heavy! On weekdays if you pay the fried rice set they let you get the big size for free; amazing deal!! Pretty good in general!!

Nice ramen open until late

A place I'd wanted to try for a while. I never got the chance, but I finally made it. There are several ramen shops on the same street, but among them, this one has real character and an easy-to-walk-into vibe. The omu-chahan looked so good I wanted to order it. But I couldn't leave without having ramen. The gyoza looked good too. Takeout is available as well. I was surprised you can even get 50 of them. Should I take some home as a souvenir... I got lost in all sorts of deliberation. In the end, I went with the Men's Set. It's 1480 yen (as of 2025/06/28) and comes with ramen and omu-chahan. You can upsize one of them for free, so I got a large curry noodles. That turned out to be the right call. The omu-chahan is tasty. But the flavor is pretty simple, just as it looks (it's tasty). The melt-in-your-mouth chashu, the curry noodles, and the soup go great with it. I thought it was a huge portion, but it went down more easily than I expected. At the counter, the water was right at hand so I could refill it myself quickly. There were tissues, and I got a paper apron too, so even though it was curry noodles in the middle of summer, I could keep eating comfortably without any worries. All this at this price is something to be grateful for…
