Torikichi is an interesting brand, partly because of what it represents. This new chicken paitan ramen brand, which is now under Yoshinoya Holdings after being acquired by Kirameki no Mirai, feels like a serious attempt to establish ramen as another major business. The dense, chicken-flavoured broth uses both chicken bones and paste, and the low-hydration, straight noodles complement this richness well. The price is reasonable, and the ability to adjust the firmness of the noodles and the amount of onion using the touch panel is practical. However, the soup can become heavy, and the overall impression is not yet strong enough to make this a destination restaurant. Some people will enjoy the intense flavour, while others may simply find it too rich. Overall, I would give it a B. It's an ambitious new ramen brand that still feels more promising than finished.

Today was August 1st, the beginning of the month, and a very busy day. After work, I headed to 'Kyoto Chicken Paitan Ramen Torikichi' newly opened in Tonda-kami, Settsu City. It is a Kyoto chicken paitan ramen specialty store produced by Kirameki no Mirai under the Yoshinoya HD umbrella. With a well-equipped parking lot and located in the Settsu Torikai area where the nearest station is far and there are few restaurants, it is a very precious shop. I visited around 5:30 PM and there were a fair number of customers. Being the opening day, there were plenty of staff. The interior is divided into counter seats and table seats, and I sat at a counter seat. A tablet was installed at the counter, making it a touch-panel ordering system. You can choose from 3 types of soup: salt, soy sauce, and miso, toppings of chashu, seasoned soft-boiled egg, and Torikichi SP, and noodle portions of small, regular, and large. And I ordered the 'Chicken Paitan Salt Chashu Ramen Regular'. By the way, since I had a grand opening commemorative free refill ticket, I asked for a noodle refill. ◉ Kyoto Chicken Paitan Salt Chashu Ramen Regular ¥1,120 It took about 10 minutes from ordering to the bowl arriving. Generally, the average time from ordering to serving ramen is said to be about 5 to 10 minutes, so it gave the impression of making us wait a bit for a shop focusing on turnover. Well, on opening day, I suppose this is normal (bitter smile). Drinking the soup first, it's a cloudy, rich-style ramen with a slightly oily surface. Sipping the soup, it's not as heavy as it looks, but a mellow, creamy, gentle chicken paitan soup where you can feel the chicken umami. The noodles are straight with a smooth surface, great throat-feel, and go well with the soup. The chashu consists of 4 slices of thinly sliced pork shoulder loin with low fat, finished like low-temperature cooking, making it light, easy to eat, and delicious. Overall, it was a well-balanced, gentle chicken paitan ramen which was nice, but the bowl shape was an angled mortar-like shape with a small amount of soup, and by the time the refill arrived, there wasn't much soup left. It would be nice if the soup volume were a bit larger~ Is this my selfish request~ Thank you for the meal.

On a weekday, passing through the opposite lane of this Prefectural Route 19 after a while, I spotted a banner reading '[August Open]'. Since I've long thought it would be great if there were 2 or 3 more restaurants around here, I marked this as a must-check, made a U-turn, and made my first visit. 🅿️ About 15 parking spaces make it easy to park. With the shop name [Kyoto] Chicken Paitan Torikichi, the main store seems to be in Kyoto. I've visited various ramen shops in Kyoto starting from Ichijoji, but I didn't know this shop name when entering. Visited around 12:20 on a weekday with a wait of about 5 minutes. Wrote my name at the entrance, waited on the round stool on the right. Ordering is via touch panel. Since it's my first visit, I ordered the standard soy sauce ramen and half fried rice. The noodles don't have particularly standout features, but the soup is delicious. However, the saltiness felt a little strong to me. Also, if there are noodle refills, the amount of soup could ideally be a bit more generous! What's characteristic is the fried rice. I love this well-stir-fried feel with a bit of burning! However, as someone pointed out in the reviews, the soup spoon (renge) for the fried rice is too big! It must be tough for anyone unless they have a huge mouth (I understand the operational desire to share with the ramen spoon, though... 😖) New stores are nice for their cleanliness, after all. The staff are young and energetic, giving a favorable impression. Next time, I want to repeat to eat the salt or miso-based chicken paitan. *Wondering whose chain this was on my way home, there was a hint under the banner: 'Kirameki no Mirai'. I checked later... It was operated by Kirameki no Tori with the blue sign, founded in 1996, which I've often seen in Kyoto. Checking a bit further, this is the 1st store for the Torikichi brand! *The only thing that bothered me was the kimchi ordered by the person next to me. They left it almost entirely untouched after just one bite, so it must have had quite a distinct quirk? I want to check it myself next time. [Written in August 2026]

Visited at night on 2026.8.14 📍Settsu City, Osaka (Former Yoshinoya site) 🍜Torikichi SP Ramen (Salt) 💰1170 📝Pay later. Self-checkout by scanning barcode 🅿️About 15 spaces Chicken paitan ramen shop newly opened in August 2026 on the site of Yoshinoya Went with expectations as a new format from the familiar [Kirameki no Tori] series in Kansai. Around 6:30 PM, so entered without waiting It seemed like a repurposed Yoshinoya building? The menu, tables, and checkout method were mostly inherited. Naturally, the interior is brand new and extremely clean. The chicken paitan salt is close to Kirameki with thin straight noodles. The soup has no off-flavors and firmly lets you feel the chicken paitan umami. Ramen was served very quickly 🍜 The SP feels like 2 slices of chashu plus a seasoned egg and 3 sheets of nori added Safely delicious, but ・Soup was little and lukewarm ・Chashu is large-sized but only increased by 2 slices, so SP cost performance is poor. Conversely, the normal one gives a higher satisfaction feeling relative to the price A friend's miso chicken paitan had a bit of uniqueness and freshness. Also, there are many reviews that side dish service is slow, but operations seem improved since the initial opening, and I didn't feel that karaage and fried rice service was slow ️⭕️

Visited with expectations as a new format and first store of Kirameki no Tori under the Yoshinoya chain. Ordered the 'Soy Sauce Ramen' and 'Pork Kimchi Set Meal'. It was normally delicious, but I don't think it has standout features, impressions, or an addictive nature that makes you desperately want to eat it. As a lover of Kirameki no Tori's 'Taiwanese Mazesoba', I was slightly disappointed that mazesoba wasn't on the menu. The interior was kept clean and neat, the staff were kind, and I'd like to repeat if I drop by nearby. Thank you for the meal.
